GH2005 Chapter 9 Information

Mac waits at Lucky's club impatiently. Felicia told him she'd be there as
soon as relieved from the bar. Evan had an appointment with the housing
department at PCU. Both should be arriving soon. Mac takes a deep breath and
runs the day's events through his head-- again. Evan was a surprise, to say
the least. He couldn't help but be mad as hell at Amanda for keeping him
from his son. Mac comes away from his thoughts as he watches Lucky lead two
young women to a table next to the bar. The women look familiar. Finally he
recalls, they are the girls from the news. "What in the hell are you doing
with A.J.'s little friends, Lucky?"
Lucky grins at the girls as he pours them drinks."You two sure are gorgeous.
My friend is really going to enjoy you coming to his party."
Ginger smiles."Well, we're pretty popular now. So, it will cost you to have
us at your party."
Amber nods. "Although, you're pretty cute, I might allow you to entertain me
for free."
Lucky smile as he lights a cigar."Well, you know how to flatter a guy. Yeah,
I know you are popular now, couldn't help but see you on the news. This
must be great for you. Opening lots of career opportunities."
The girls nod. Amber: "Yeah, it has paid off. A.J. was very good for
business."
Lucky leans back in his chair."So, who called the press?"

College Housing Department.

Evan sits thumbing through an outdated magazine when a young brunette walks
in. His eyes leave the magazine as he checks her out: long legs, a slender,
curvy figure. She has beautiful brown eyes and a warm smile as she tells the
secretary she's here for her appointment. He looks back at his magazine
quickly as she turns from the receptionist desk and heads over to his
direction. She takes the seat next to him.
Emily:"Hello, you didn't have to stop checking me out so quickly."
Evan puts the magazine down and smiles mischievously."Caught in the act.
Well, you must be use to guys checking you out. You're beautiful."
Emily smiles."And you're bold. I'm Emily Quartermaine."
Evan takes her hand and kisses it."Evan Scorpio. I take it you're waiting
for your housing assignment as well."
Emily nods."Yes, did you say Scorpio? As in Robin Scorpio?"
Evan shrugs."I don't remember a Robin, but I'm probably related to her. I'm
Mac Scorpio's son."
Emily gasps."You're serious? Oh my god, I never knew Mac had a son."
Evan grins."Neither did he until a little while ago. You know my father?"
Emily nods."His niece, your cousin, has been dating my brother for years.
Wow, this is wild. Is this your first day here?"
He nods."I have to meet Mac at a place called Lucky's in a little while."
Emily smiles."Lucky's is a club owned by a friend of mine. It will be
rocking tonight. He's having amateur night, so every band in town will be
there. You should check it out."
He laughs."Well, now Ms. Quartermaine it sounds like you know just about
everyone in town. Wanna do me a favor and grant me the pleasure of your
company tonight? I promise to make it an evening you will remember."
Emily laughs and pulls out a card."Here's my cell phone number. You're
absolutely shameless. I can meet you at the club-- say around eight?"
He kisses her cheek as his name is called by the receptionist."I'll be
waiting, Beautiful."
Emily watches him walk into the office and sighs."Wow."

The Hospital

Carly arrives at the Nurses station and hands Robin Scorpio her new
schedule. "I see you're moving to OB rotation. That will be exciting."
Robin nods and smiles."Carly, this is going to be the best rotation yet.
I've been considering moving into OB; now I can test the waters."
Carly laughs."You'll be fine at whatever you decide, Robin. Thanks again for
watching Anthony last night."
Robin sighs."It was my pleasure. He's such a great kid. Jason adores him."
Carly laughs."As his godfather he should. Jason has been great with Anthony.
You both have. If I didn't have you guys I would be nuts by now."
Robin pats her shoulder."You have us, Carly, that's what friends are for."
Gina comes up behind them."Speaking of good friends, thank you both for the
flowers and phone calls."
Carly turns to face Gina and hugs her."Are you back?"
Gina shakes her head."No, not yet. I'm just here to grab a few things. Alan
wants to talk to me; I will be meeting with him soon."
Robin hugs Gina."I'm so sorry. Tomorrow I expect you for dinner. You too,
Carly."
Carly shakes her head."Sorry I can't; I'm pulling a double."
Gina:"You work too hard."
Robin laughs:"WE all work too hard. Okay, I'm working the evening shift,
I'll bring you in some food."
Carly feigns fainting."Real food? Not corndogs from the cafeteria? I must be
dreaming."
Gina and Robin laugh. Gina:"Thanks, I needed to laugh. I miss you guys."
Robin:"You know where to find us."
Carly:"By the way, A.J. was here yesterday looking for you."
Gina grimaces."And?"
Carly."And I gave him a tour of the nursery and some free optimism."
Gina cocks an eyebrow."My other ball and chain hasn't made an appearance;
has he?"
Robin and Carly exchange looks. Gina:"What?"
Robin smiles."Well, he was here earlier, but he was escorting someone."
Carly:"He was with Katherine Bell."
Gina feels the jealousy wash over her, but smiles."Well, they're old
friends. I didn't know she was back in town. I'd better go meet Alan."
Gina walks away and Carly turns to Robin."I can't tell which husband she's
more ticked off at."
Robin nods."I know, but we shouldn't gossip about her love life; it doesn't
feel right."
Carly laughs."It's not gossiping when you care about her. I just don't want
her to go chasing after Nikolas again. Look how destructive it was last time."

Lucky's club

Felicia has joined Mac and he's filled her in on the details of Evan. She
sips her vodka tonic and then smiles at Mac."Congratulations!" She throws
her arms around him."You have a son."
Mac kisses her and then smiles."You're being great about this."
Felicia smiles."Please, this happened years before you met me. I'm just
sorry you weren't able to know him as a child. Oh Mac, you must be furious?"
Mac nods."Angry but excited too. I have a child . . . a son. Raising Robin
was the highlight of my life along with marrying you and helping raise the
girls. Now I find out I have a boy. My son."
Evan walks in and Felicia gasps."Oh my, you weren't joking about the
resemblance."
Mac rises and shakes his hand."Evan, this is my wife, Felicia."
Evan extends his hand"Ma'am."
Felicia grabs him into a hug."We're family, none of this handshaking
nonsense. You are as handsome as your father."
Evan takes a seat at the table."I got my dorm; unfortunately, it won't be
ready 'til tomorrow. Is the offer to stay with you still open?"
Mac nods."Of course. I'll have the room ready when we get back home. In
fact, I was thinking we'd all go to The Outback for dinner tonight."
Evan smiles apologetically."Well, actually I have a date."
Mac and Felicia laugh. Felicia:"You move fast. What's her name?"
Evan smiles."Emily Quartermaine, she said she knew you."
Mac smiles."You have fine taste. Emily's a sweet girl. Her brother has been
dating your cousin for years."
Felicia:"So, what will you be doing tonight?"
Evan:"She said a friend runs the club. He wanted Em to see this place
rocking tonight."
Felicia glances over at Lucky's table. The girls are still drinking and
Lucky is playing the gracious host."I wonder what he's up to?"
Mac nods."I've been trying to figure that out as well. Damage control for
his brother perhaps?"
Felicia nods."Maybe, or information gathering. We should inform A.J."
Evan looks at the table then back at Mac and Felicia."What's going on?"
Mac smiles."Nothing important. So, fill me in on you."
Evan shrugs his shoulders."What do you want to know?"
Mac:"Just the basics, all the years from birth 'til now."

Lucky pours the girls another drink and smiles."So, the person was
anonymous? You couldn't ID him?"
Ginger giggles as she fights to hold her head up."You're trying to get me
drunk."
Amber laughs."I'm already plastered. Look, we told you; the person who hired
us did it over a phone and through a deposit in our bank accounts. I've no
idea who it was. "
Lucky puffs on his cigar."So, when was his wife supposed to show up?"
The girls shake their heads. Amber:"She wasn't. He was pissed about that. "
Ginger nods."He blamed us for leaking the information, but seems it worked
out to his benefit."
Lucky nods and pours fresh drinks. "Did you leak info?"
Before they can answer, they pass out on the table.
Lucky"Wow, I've never seen two people pass out at the same time. MIKE! I
need help. Call a cab; would you?"
