GH2005.30 The Funniest Thing Happened...

Jake's Bar
Jason is playing pool with Nikolas. Lucky is taking bets on the game. Mike, Joseph, Tom, Ned, and Justus are playing poker. Tony Jones and Alan are reminiscing about their first bachelor parties. Kevin and Stefan are playing chess.
Jason makes the shot he's aiming for."Okay, that leaves me with two
balls on the table."
Nikolas looks amused."Three. The eight ball is still there."
Jason misses the next shot."Okay, three. You have six, Cassadine."
Nikolas takes his shot and sinks two of his balls."Four, Morgan."
Nikolas moves to the other side of the table and Lucky shouts out. "Kevin, Stefan, I'd move if I were you. I've a broken nose thanks to his golf swing, I wouldn't sit there when he's got a pool cue in his hand."
Laughter can be heard throughout the room and Nikolas shoots Lucky a glare. "I told you it was an accident; though no one would fault me for purposely rearranging that face."
Nikolas makes his shot and looks up at Jason smugly. "I believe we're even now. Would you care to raise the bet?"
Jason thinks it over for a second and looks over at Lucky. "What do you think?"
Lucky ponders the situation for a moment."Not sure. Okay, gentlemen, They are now even, anyone care to increase their bets?"
Kevin looks at Stefan. "I'll up my bet with you. Forty more on Jason."
Stefan looks amused as he nods."Okay, forty more on Nikolas. I've seen him play, he's allowing his confidence to work in his favor."
Kevin nods."I agree, but he is also taunting Jason. Jason is known for working well under pressure."
Alan looks over at the table."Okay, I raise my bet on Nikolas."
Tony shakes his head. "I can't believe you're betting against your son. I'll meet your bet on Jason."
Garcia walks in and feigns ignorance."Nobody's gambling here, I hope? I'm just going to grab a beer. Where's Mac?"
Ned looks up from his hand."He called, seems Evan was summoned by Emily to run an errand for the girl's party. Mac went with him."
Tom: "Call, I have two pairs, Jacks high."
Ned looks amused."Royal flush. Tom, when will you learn when you play with Jacks you'll always lose."
The table groans at the horribly bad joke.
Ned sighs. "Everyone's a critic."

The Outback
The girl's are sipping on margaritas and gossiping.
Felicia is mixing up a fresh batch."Okay, Who needs a refill?"
Robin looks a little tipsy. "I'll pass for now. I think you're trying to get us all drunk."
Carly laughs."I'll pass as well. Alcohol has never been kind to me. Robin, you should lighten up though! Enjoy yourself, this is your night."
Alexis leans over to Laura."Can I speak to you in the ladies' room?"
Laura nods and they excuse themselves. Once inside Laura looks at Alexis thankfully. "You got me out just in time. I know Katherine and Mac used to date, but I despise seeing her here. Gina looks miserable."
Alexis nods."I agree, but this is Robin's night. I've been thinking about Sonny the last couple of days. He'd be so happy for them both."
Laura reaches out and hugs her. "Luke would be too. Have you given Jason the cuff links yet?"
Alexis wipes a couple of stray tears from her eyes and shakes her head. "No, not yet. I'm going to give them to him tomorrow. Sonny thought of them both as family. I do too. Jason has been a godsend to me. But, I didn't drag you in here, to cry about Sonny."
Laura smiles."You know I always have an ear for you, no matter what you want to discuss."
Alexis: "I've been doing the research you requested on Katherine."
Lucy Coe enters the bathroom. "Research on Kathy?? Do tell. I don't trust that conniving bleached blond bimbette."
Alexis and Laura exchange glances, and Lucy continues."Oh pooh on you both. I've already walked in on the conversation, and it's not like I'm going run and tell her or anything. I would love to see that phoney baloney put in her place. Just once I'd really like for her to eat crow. I know Robin invited her out of respect to Mac and all, but if I were Felicia I'd put arsenic in her margaritas."
Laura laughs. "Can't... she's not drinking margaritas, she's pregnant."
Alexis: "Okay, since you're here, Lucy, but this stays in this room."
Lucy crosses her heart and Alexis continues. "Okay, so far nothing incriminating has turned up. There is one little interesting tidbit. Katherine filed for a business loan. She was turned down. That's all I was able to find. I'm still searching though."
Fury passes through Laura's eyes. "I knew it. She's after him for the money."
Lucy:"Well, Steffie is loaded, have him make her an offer she can't refuse."
Laura shakes her head. "Nikolas would never forgive him."
Alexis ponders the idea. "Well, if he never found out..."
Laura sighs. "He is THE Cassadine now and Stefan taught him most of his tricks; he'd find out. No, this has to be handled some other way. I'm
not sure how, but it will be."
The women leave the rest room and join the rest of the party.

Jake's club...
Nikolas is grinning after beating Jason in pool."It's about time, Morgan. I still have to beat you a few more times before we're even."
Ned laughs. "Keep trying, Nikolas, I think Jason's mind was on his beautiful bride to be."
Lucky takes a microphone and quiets everyone. "Ever just feel like singing?"
The men groan but Lucky continues..in a dramatic, almost hokey way he begins to sing..

"HER NAME WAS LOLA,
SHE WAS A SHOWGIRL,
WITH YELLOW FEATHERS IN HER HAIR,
AND A DRESS CUT DOWN TO THERE.
SHE WOULD MARANGUE,
AND DO THE CHACHA,
AND THOUGH SHE TRIED TO BE A STAR,
TONY ALWAYS TENDED BAR.
ACROSS THE CROWDED FLOOR,
THEY WORKED FROM EIGHT TILL FOUR
THEY WERE YOUNG AND THEY HAD EACH OTHER,
WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE?

The men laugh and Ned joins him..

"AT THE COPA, COPA CABANA, THE
HOTTEST SPOT NORTH OF HAVANA,
HERE AT THE COPA, COPA CABANA,
MUSIC AND PASSION WERE
ALWAYS THE FASHION
AT THE COPA... THEY FELL IN LOVE."

A beautiful blond stripper eases her way into the bar and Lucky and Ned stop singing.
Lucky:"May I introduce..Lola!" He gallantly takes her hand and leads her to the bar.
Lola smiles and looks at the crowd."I think I see some familiar faces.. Don't worry I won't point you out. Who is the guest of honor tonight?"
Jason says nothing but everyone points to him. Lola makes her way over to him and gives him her yellow flower. "Any requests, Tiger?"
Jason shakes his head, visibly embarrassed. Lola shrugs her shoulders and motions to Lucky to turn on the Stereo. A fast song comes on and Lola begins to dance seductively for the men.
A.J. Quartermaine stands by the doorway watching Lola dance. He looks down at the divorce papers in his hand and recalls the night that put the final nail in the coffin in his marriage with Gina. His eyes fall on to Nikolas who is flirting with Lola as she dances between him, Lucky and Jason. AJ feels the hatred rise as he stumbles, in a drunken haze over to Nik. "Cassadine, you bastard, how dare you show your face here?" Lola stops dancing and all eyes turn to A.J.
Ned rises and heads over to him. "Damn it, Junior, when are you going to stop this idiotic behavior. Your brother is trying to enjoy his bachelor party."
A.J. laughs. "Why if it isn't dear old Nedly. How easily you slip back into lord and ruler of all things Quartermaine. How is Bensonhurse?"
Ned rolls his eyes."Bensonhurst. Come on, A.J., you're drunk, again, let's get you out of here." A.J.'s words are slurred and his eyes are glassed over.
He reaches for his shoulder but is pushed away.
A.J. straightens his jacket attempting to look professional. "I'm not going anywhere, like you said, it's Jason's bachelor party. (he speaks louder) Of course, I had to hear about it from Robin. It just slipped your mind, right Jase? I mean, I'm the mayor of Port-Charles, and I do believe I've always remembered to invite you to my parties. No harm done. I'm here. I brought a present too. Unfortunately, it's not for you. It's for Nikky Cassaswine. The man who just couldn't accept his marriage to my wife was over, so he had to ruin mine."
A.J. takes a step in Nikolas' direction but Lucky blocks him. "Let's not
do this tonight, A.J."
Alan becomes furious. "How dare you pull one of your drunken escapades tonight? For god's sake your brother is getting married tomorrow."
A.J. ignores Alan and looks hard at Lucky. "Well, Spencer, since when did you become your brother's keeper?" He looks at Nikolas, who is fighting to control his temper. "Baby brother always fight your battles? I guess I should have a problem with him as well. I mean Lucky, you slept with my wife. And here, I thought that not only were we friends, but that you'd have enough respect not to sleep with your brother's ex. Guess I was wrong. Don't look so surprised, I own the Port-Charles hotel, Luckless-- remember?!"
Nikolas rises and watches Lucky try and keep a stumbling A.J. from falling. "Now is not the place for this, Mr. Mayor. I suggest if you'd like to keep that position you refrain from slandering myself, and my family in public. Now, I believe our conversation is over."
A.J. laughs as he throws his divorce papers at Nikolas. "Here. This is what you were after the night you set me up with those hookers. Frame it, kiss it, do whatever with it. I'm not going to sign them. I can make my marriage with Gina work, and there's nothing you can do about it."
Jason has had enough as he stands to face A.J. "Look, I've told you before I don't care if you drink or not, but I won't have you assaulting people at my gathering. I'll have Joseph drop you off wherever you're staying now. A.J., don't pull this crap with me again. My patience is past gone."
Before A.J. can protest, Joseph leads him out of the party. Lucky turns to
Lola and waves his hands around."Let's party."
The men try to shake off A.J.'s tirade with little success. Ned raises his glass. "Here's to another trademark Quartermaine Party!"

Back at the Outback the women are having a much better time. Though Carly is a little aggravated with her stripper. He is more than an hour late. The ladies are at the front of the restaurant when Evan enters.
Carly rushes to meet him.
Carly:"It's about time!"
Evan looks taken back."Sorry, I had a little car trouble."
Carly sighs. "No harm done. Where's your costume?"
Evan:"Excuse me?"
Carly shakes her head. "Your costume. You remember-- we discussed it on the phone. You were supposed to wear hospital scrubs. Look, no time to go back for that now. I have the music ready just take off your clothes and show everyone a good time."
Evan realizes Carly's mistake. "No wait, you don't understand. I'm not who you think I am."
Carly gives him a murderous look. "I payed your agency a $200 deposit on you. Now get ready to dance."
Evan sighs and decides what the hell. He follows Carly to the radio.
Carly:"Now, I'll introduce you, you flip on the radio and do your thing."
Evan smiles. "Yes ma'am."
Carly heads to the other side of the restaurant. "Okay, Robin, We wanted to get you a really cool, present, but it seems Dr. Feelgood forgot his scrubs. But here he is anyway!"
Evan flips on the radio and as the music blares through the Outback he jumps up on the bar and begins to dance. The women scream and cheer him on.
Felicia looks shocked. "Oh My God!"
Robin is laughing so hard she can barely talk. "Figures, at my party, my cousin would end up as the stripper."
Lois overhears and laughs. "Get out! He's your cousin?? Oh my! My cousins never moved like that!"
Emily and Brenda are up in front cheering him on as they laugh.
Brenda whistles. "You Go Boy!!"
Evan takes off his shirt and throws it to Emily who squeals. "YEEAAHHH!"
Mac, wondering what is keeping Evan, enters the bar and is shocked to see his son dancing for the women. Felicia spots him and runs up to him. "Okay, before you totally freak, there has to be an explanation for this."
Mac doesn't say anything. He just looks at the crowd of women whooping and hollering over his son. Felicia smiles teasingly. "You know, you could get up there and join him. I've seen your strip tease, you could teach him a thing or two."
Mac shakes his head and wordlessly walks out of the building. Felicia shrugs her shoulder at Robin and Maxie and all three women burst out laughing.

GH2005.31 "And All The World Turned Out.."

Veronica Bowles smiles into the camera. "Good Afternoon, Port Charles. This is Veronica Bowles coming to you LIVE from what seems to be the biggest wedding to ever take place in Port Charles. If you look around, you'll see the multitude of body guards ushering the elite members of Port Charles society onto the cruise ship that will soon be the setting or the marriage of Jason Morgan and Robin Scorpio. I'd hoped to take you closer, but the guards have had strict orders to keep all uninvited guests out, including the press. It would seem to be a wedding right out of the fairy tale books we all read as children. The bride has fought the odds of AIDS and is the first person in Port-Charles to test negative since taking a little known cure. The groom is her longtime boyfriend, Jason Morgan, current ELQ Vice President and rumored east coast Mafia Kingpin. With the Guest List including Cassadines, Current Top Forty singing sensation Eddie Maine, and many of Mr. Morgan's Associates, this appears to be the worst nightmare for both the police and FBI."

Joseph pushes a reporter back from the boat's entrance and smiles at Lucy Coe and Kevin Collins as they board the ship. "Sorry about this, it's a zoo today."

Kevin looks around awestruck at the media and law enforcement helicopters circling and the scores of reporters, body guards, and police officers all parading around the dock. "MY GOD."

Lucy squeezes his hand. "I know what you're thinking, if it's this bad for Jason and Robin what will it be like when you and I say our happy little I do's. It scares me too, Doc. I mean this is the most important day in Robin's life, well Jason's too, and this looks like the aftermath of the Castro Assassination Trial. Those nosey reporter people have no respect for privacy. I mean, I always pictured our wedding as kinda quiet and romantic, just you and me and a few of our closest friends, but nope, it'll be a media circus. Oh well, I'll let you go find Mac and I'm going to check in on Robin!" Lucy dashes from the corridor before Doc can even mutter a sentence.

In the Bridal Cabin, Robin is looking at herself in the mirror. Felicia stands behind her with her arms wrapped around her. Both have tears in their eyes as they stand there wordlessly. Brenda and Lois smile as they look at them both mesmerized at Robin in her wedding gown.
Lois:"She looks so beautiful! I'm going to cry again. Bren, you sure you don't want to stand up for her?"
Brenda shakes her head as she wipes a stray tear. "With a pending divorce I'm not the best person to stand up at a wedding. You're the one she needs, Lo. You and Ned have seen them through the best and the worst of times. I was off too preoccupied with my life to help anyone."
Lois slaps her on the arm. "Stop that! You never missed a christening! You were always around when Robin or I needed you. You need to stop feeling so sorry for yourself, girlfriend and be happy you're going to start a new life."
Brenda nods. "I am happy. I talked to Scott again and I'm going to the Dominican Republic tomorrow. I called Jax today and informed him."
Lois cocks an eyebrow at her. "He's okay with it?"
Brenda shakes her head. "NO, but he can't stop me. He's about to find out someone DOES leave!"

Felicia hugs Robin tightly. "I'm so happy for you, baby. You know, you've always been such a close friend to me, but I don't think I've ever really expressed to you just how much I really love you."
Robin smiles tearfully. "I know you love me."
Felicia clasps her hands over Robin's. "I'd never presume to take your mother's place. I know wherever she is, she and your father are beaming with pride. Robin, you're as much my daughter as Maxie and Georgie, I couldn't love you more if I'd given birth to you myself. These past few years, I've prayed and prayed God would spare you, and he listened! Standing here, looking at you, all dressed up, marrying the man you love more than life. I just can't express how much all of this really means
to me. I want you to live life to it's fullest and to have the absolute happiest marriage known to mankind. You've fought so hard for everything, and now is your moment to shine!" Felicia hugs her again tightly and Robin whispers tearfully.
Robin:"I love you so much, Felicia. My mom is gone, but my other mother is right by my side, as always, giving me all the love and support I could ever ask for. Thank you!"
Felicia hands her a box and smiles. "You'll find something old and something new in this box."
Robin unwraps it and smiles. Inside are her mother's diamond earrings. Next to them is a pearl braclet matching the necklace Jason gave her for Christmas in 1996. "OH They're beautiful, Felicia, but where did you find the earrings??"
Felicia smiles. "Mac put them in a safe deposit box for you to have when you got married."
Lucy comes bolting in. "HI there..OHH!!! Robin, look at you!! Oh, you're going to make me cry, you're just so beautiful."
Robin smiles. "Hi Lucy."
Felicia thinks. "Okay, you have something old and something new, now you need something borrowed and something blue."
Lois walks over to Robin and hands her a baby blue lacy handkerchief.
"The Cerullo women have always had this blue hanky when they married. Ma and me both consider you family, so you have an obligation to take it!"
Robin hugs her tightly. "I don't know what to say. Thank you."
Lois:"That's all you had to say."
Emily walks in the room and laughs. "Invitation only... or can anyone join in?"
Robin grabs her tightly. "I think you're my 1000th hug today."
Emily laughs."Do I win a prize? Okay, I heard the something blue presentation, so as you're soon to be my sister-in-law, I supply the something borrowed." Emily removes her 18th birthday pearl ring Jason gave her. "This will match the rest of your jewelry."
Monica enters the room with a smile. "Okay, I'm guessing you won't need to borrow something off of me now. Just as well, Emily's ring does match better. You look lovely, Robin."
Robin blushes. "You're all embarrassing me."
Emily laughs. "No, Evan is the Scorpio being embarrassed. Lucky found out about him stripping for the party and is trying to become his booking agent."
The women collapse into a fit of giggles as the recall the last evening's events.

Jason looks into the mirror critically as Ned straightens his jacket. "I don't know; don't you think I look like a banker?"
Ned looks over the tux and smiles. "Well-dressed man, yes, banker, no. You nervous yet?"
Jason sighs. "A little. I don't want to mess this up for her. The piranhas outside are getting to me."
Ned smiles knowingly. "Ahhh yes, the lovely press. The first amendment gives them the right to intrude upon our lives and make special events circus shows. I saw your army of guards, they won't get in."
Alan and Mac join them.
Mac:"The FBI and local Police are furious. The fact Alex is here as a guest isn't helping his image either. Seems the feds think this is a disaster waiting to happen. I'm sure you're going to assure me they're worried for nothing, right Jason?"
Jason nods. "Nothing will happen. This wedding will be just as Robin wanted it to be."
Alan smiles at Jason. "You look great, Jason."
Jason smiles slightly. "Thank you. I really want to see Robin but Lois nearly maimed me when I tried."
They all laugh and Ned retorts. "Having Lois as her matron of honor was the best security Robin could hope for. No one will get near her without Lois letting them."
Alan looks serious. "A.J. is here; I've warned him-- no scenes."
Jason nods. "He shows he's an ass and he gets escorted out. He knows he'll never set foot at any event I throw from then on. No one will ruin this for Robin. Where is he?"
Ned:"Evan and A.J. are seating guests. I believe Lucky and Mike are helping them."
Alexis knocks on the door timidly. "Safe for me to come in?"
Jason waves her in. "Alexis, Please come on in."
Alexis greets everyone. "Hello everyone. Not to be a pest or anything, but I'd like a moment with Jason please."
The men leave them alone and Alexis smiles at him. "You look so handsome. Sonny would be so proud."
Jason nods. "Are you okay?"
She smiles and hands him a box. "I'm fine. Being here just reminds me how much Sonny would have enjoyed watching you and Robin get married. He loved you both so very much. I know he'd want you to have these."
Jason feels the tears well up in his eyes as he looks at Sonny's diamond cuff links. "Alexis, I can't. They were his."
Alexis hugs him tightly. "And now they are yours. I hope you and Robin will be as happy as Sonny and I were. I only hope your happiness is able to last a lifetime. Be safe, and love her more than life itself. I know that's how she loves you."
Jason hugs her tightly and looks up to the ceiling thinking silently. "I miss you, Sonny. We all do."

Evan escorts Carly to the Groom's side of the boat and then returns to Lucky. "Okay, she's on the right side, right?"
Lucky looks bewildered. "I don't know, man. Yeah, Carly is okay. This is ridiculous. Seating people at a Kennedy Wedding would be easier. Okay, We have Brenda on the bride's side and Alexis on the groom's side. A.J. is going to sit with Carly on the Groom's side and Gina is going to sit with me and Brenda on the bride's side. Nikolas, is thankfully on doom island with the kiddies and I think we have all other mortal enemies spread out. Now Stefan, Mom, Aunt Bobbie and Tony are all on the groom's side, and we have Katherine Bell on the bride's side. That's a good idea, because Mom and my aunt hate Katherine."
Evan shakes his head. "This is wild. Okay the Police Commissioner and A.J.'s ex wife are on the bride's side, and all of the groom's associates are on his side. I think we have everything okay now."
Lucky laughs. "You wanted an introduction to Port Chuckle's citizens, you've placed most of them in seats!"

A little while later the boat is lit with only the soft glow from the candles. Ned and Jason stand by the Captain of the Boat. Soft organ music plays as Lois begins to walk down the long corridor toward Ned and Jason. Her blue tea length satin gown matches her eyes perfectly as she carries a small arrangement of violets and small tea roses. The wedding March begins. Mac escorts Robin slowly down the corridor. Jason watches her walk toward him slowly and feels his heart begin to pound. She was even more beautiful than he'd ever thought possible. Her face has a soft glow and her hair is perfect kept up with small tea roses.
Mac smiles proudly as he answers, "I do" to the question of 'who gives this bride to be married'. He joins Felicia in the front pew and watches as Robin and Jason exchange their vows.
Ned takes the microphone and begins to sing their favorite song.
Tonight it's very clear and we're both standing here
There's so many things I want to say
I will always love you
I will never leave you alone
Sometimes I just forget say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I don't want to lose you
I could never make it alone

I am a man who would fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of
We'll live forever knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love...

He concludes the song. Jason and Robin, holding hands, turn and face the Captain. He declares them man and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Jason Morgan turn to their family and friends smiling as they walk toward the main dining hall where the reception will be held. As they are about to exit the room, Jason swoops her up and spins her around gently before kissing her tenderly and leading her to the Reception.
