GH2005.20: Another day At The Hospital
Matt Clark angrily slams his locker as he prepares to start his shift. The
cops questioned him for hours and he's ready to kill. He heads to his first
assignment when he passes the nurse's schedule. Carefully he picks it up and
makes a copy of it. Placing the copy in his pocket, he heads out the door.
Tom Hardy walks past him and greets his wife."Hey Honey. Hi Stone."
Stone:"My Grandpa will be here in a minute."
Tom smiles."I know, kiddo. Alexis, why do you have the look of- I've
something to tell you that you're going to hate but I can't do anything
about it- all over your face?"
Alexis smiles. He knows me too well."Honey, I've something to tell you that
you won't like, but there is nothing I can do about it."
Tom crosses his arms."One guess, this involves something . . . Cassadine?"
Alexis smiles again."You're hot tonight. Dinner. We've been summoned. Stone
is going to spend the night with Mike tonight."
Tom looks down at Stone who is grinning."I'll pay you ten bucks if I can go
with your grandpa and you go to castle Cassadine with your mom in my place."
Stone giggles as Mike appears. "I'd love to have you, Tom, but I don't think
you'd like the kid's movie as much as Stone will." Mike jokes. He picks up
Stone and hugs him."How's grandpa's favorite boy?"
Stone giggles again."Fine."
Tom stamps his foot and looks at Alexis."I don't wanna go to the castle
tonight."
Alexis, Mike and Stone burst into laughter.
Stone:"You're silly, Tom."
Alexis whispers into Tom's ear."If you're good maybe we can get lost in the
one of the secret tunnels. You know a couple are sound proof."
Tom smiles."OK Castle Cassadine it is."
Mike says his goodbyes and carries Stone out."Wait till you see the movies I
have for us tonight."
Stone laughs."I can walk you know. I love you, Grandpa."
Mike smiles as he lets him down."I love you too, Stone."
Lucy waits in Alan's office with Kevin. "I don't understand all this
waiting. I'm a little nauseous. What's the big deal? You know this is why I
hate going to the doctor. Wait, wait, wait. Like my time isn't important. I
swear they just sit in their lounges and laugh knowing that their patients
are in here complaining about the wait. You'd think they'd put a meter in
here. I mean if they're going to make you wait for hours why not charge by
the hour. "
Kevin squeezes her hand."I know, Luce. Try and remain calm."
Lucy turns to him."I am calm. Don't I appear to be calm to you? I am the
essence of calm. No one is calmer than I. All I'm saying is that it's not
fair the way those doctor people make us wait for so long, oh poo you were
one of those doctor people. I didn't mean that you made people wait for a
long time, what I mean is that most doctors make patients wait for longer
than they need to. Alan is probably loving this. Let's make Lucy wait all
day long. I mean just because she runs a major cosmetic's corporation is no
reason to hurry this along. So I don't see how this has anything to do with
whether or not I'm calm or not."
Before Kevin can answer Alan comes in and takes his seat. He beams as he
looks from Kevin to Lucy. "I have your test results back."
Lucy becomes antsy."What is it? Cancer? What? Tell me, Alan. I can take it."
Alan laughs."Calm down, Lucy. You're fine. Lucy, you're pregnant."
Kevin smiles as Lucy starts in on Alan."What do you mean calm down? Kevin
has told me to calm down, now you're telling me to calm down. I am
calm..wait..did you just say what I think you just said..Kevin did he just
say what I think I heard him say? I know I heard him say it but did you hear
him say it?"
Kevin and Alan exchange looks and laugh. In unison they exclaim."Lucy,
you're pregnant."
Lucy jumps from her chair and grabs Kevin."A baby. We're going to have a
baby. Oh Kevin, a baby. "
Kevin kisses her gently."I know, Luce. I'm so happy."
Lucy looks at him."Are you really? I mean we never really discussed kids
here lately. I kinda assumed we weren't going to have any. I mean All these
years and now we're going to have a baby."
Kevin smiles."Lucy, make an honest man out of me. Marry me."
Lucy squeals."YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! Oh Doc, there is so much to do. A baby, a
wedding. Oh my god." She turns to Alan and hugs him."Thank you!!!!"
Alan grins."Let me be the first to congratulate you on your baby and on your
marriage! I know both will be joyous events. May you two always stay this
happy."
A.J. smiles as Carly approaches."I just wanted to tell you thanks for
listening the other day."
Carly laughs."No problem. What are friends for? So, how are things with you
and Gina?"
A.J. shakes his head."Not good. She won't return my phone calls and honestly
I'm betting it's over."
Carly hugs him."Don't give up yet, A.J.; if you love her-- fight for her."
He laughs."You really are little miss pep talk. I want to return the favor
to you though, What are you and Anthony doing for dinner tonight?"
Carly smiles."Nothing special why?"
He smiles."You are now. A new kid's theme restaurant opened and I want to
take you and Anthony there.I have Bradley tonight so the boys can
play together. We'll have a blast."
Carly smiles."Mr. Mayor, you are positively delightful today. Why the change
in attitude?"
He smiles."A friend told me to be happy. I'm going to try it. Besides I
happen to know that friend has been working way too many double shifts lately."
Carly's face falls."She has to work one tonight too. But..Hold on for a second."
Carly walks up to Amy."Amy, I was wondering if I could call in that favor
tonight."
Amy shrugs."I have no plans; why not? This makes us even right?"
Carly nods."Thanks Amy."
She skips back to A.J."It's set, I'll be honored to go to the theme
restaurant with you tonight. Anthony will love it."
A.J. smiles."I'll pick you up at seven."
Spoon Island
Nikolas is on the dock practicing Tai-chi when Lu and Georgie appear. He
hears Lu whisper."Be quiet, he gets mad if we interrupt him."
Nikolas turns to the two girls."What can I do for you?"
Lu smiles apologetically."I'm sorry, Nikolas. I guess I disturbed you anyway."
Georgie looks up at him."Nikolas, will you teach me and Lu how to do that
Tai-chi stuff."
Nikolas smiles."You really want to learn? It will take concentration and
lots of practice."
The girls nod."Okay, we will start lessons every other day after school, okay?"
They nod again and he reaches out to Georgie. Carefully he puts her in place
then does the same with Lu. They practice for a while just doing certain
moves and finally Nikolas leads them through some entire exercises.
Laura looks out her window and smiles."Stefan, come here."
Stefan joins her and smiles. He watches the two girls follow Nikolas in the
movements."He's so good with children. Don't you think, Stefan?"
He nods."He told you didn't he?"
Laura smiles."A little while ago. Katherine Bell. She's old enough to be his
mother. Oh well what's done is done."
Stefan pulls Laura to him."Will we ever stop worrying about them?"
Laura laughs."Not in the foreseeable future. This will be an interesting
dinner party."
Stefan smiles."Indeed it will."
