GH2005.19 On the Road Again
Evan drives as Emily sleeps. They've been on the road for a few hours but
she was exhausted. He has to keep reminding himself to watch the road
because his eyes keep drifting back to her. She reminds him of Michelle. So
much so, he often has to keep himself from calling her that when they're
talking. Michelle, I miss you. He starts to curse at himself silently as the
memories flood him. They were dancing in the Bahamas one minute and he was
identifying her body the next.
He knew the authorities believe he killed the bastard that murdered her.
They had no proof though, so the case was still open. Of course, his parents
want to talk about it every time he turns around. That was the good thing
about Port Charles. Mac wouldn't know about Michelle or any of the other
stunts after wards. No constant checking up on him. He was free, finally
free. Except from the memories that plagued him from time to time.
Reoccurring nightmares and visions of her dancing in front of him. Teasing
him, loving him. Then the most frightening vision of all, the vision of her
needing him and not being there to save her. How many times had he replayed
the scene in his head. Everytime he rushed to her just a little to late to
save her from the monster that took her from him. Damn him, and damn her for
leaving him. He glances back at Emily sleeping and makes a vow to himself. I
won't lose you again, Michelle. No one will hurt you again.

Mac and Felicia search the marketplace near the airport without luck. They'd
been everywhere they could think of looking for Lucky, yet no sign of him.
They spot a young boy and approach him.
Mac:"You speak English?"
He nods. "Have you seen this man?" Ricardo takes the picture and studies it.
Something is familiar about the picture but he can't place it.
Ricardo:"Senor He looks like someone I might have passed, but I can't be
certain."
Felicia intervenes."He would be smoking cigars."
The boy smiles."Yes, yes I know where he is. He friend of yours?"
They nod. Ricardo looks at them intently and finally Mac hands him some money.
Ricardo smiles."Thank you, senor. He's right behind you."
The boy takes off laughing as Mac and Felicia turn to face an amused Lucky.
Lucky:"Fancy meeting you here."
Mac:"What in the hell were you thinking? Your family is worried sick about you."
Felicia:"You could have spoke up before the boy took our money."
Lucky laughs."Nikolas will reimburse you. I take it he's a little miffed at me."
Mac:"That's putting it mildly. Why haven't you been in touch?"
Lucky whispers."I ran into some problems. I found out who's behind the
sabotage unfortunately, they saw me. I think they put two and two together,
'cause the Cassadine jet has been guarded by not only the people looking for
me for Nikolas, but by the people who'd like my head on a platter. Believe
it or not-- they aren't one in the same. Tell me you took a different way here."
Felicia nods."First class American Airline. Go back and change into Lucky
Spencer so we can get out of here."
Lucky grins."You don't have to ask me twice. Could you do me a couple of
favors?" He hands the combination lock code to Felicia,"Get my stuff, they
won't be looking for you and I need a cell phone to check in."
Mac nods and hands him the phone."Go to the bathroom. We'll get the bag and
I'll meet you in
there."
Lucky nods and heads into the airport bathroom. He picks up the phone and
dials the number.
He hears his brother's worried voice. "Cassadine."
Lucky:"Spencer."
Nikolas breathes a sigh of relief."Where in the hell are you? We've been
worried sick. Of all the irresponsible, stupid, idiotic"
Lucky cuts him off."I love you too, Nikolas. I'm in a bathroom at the
airport. Thanks for sending me my ride home. I don't think I will be riding
on the Cassadine jet this time. By the way, I'm bringing you home a present
that will make up for the gray hairs you've acquired during my little vacation."
Nikolas:"Excellent. This isn't finished, Lucky. Once I see for myself that
you're okay I'm going to put my foot up your.."
Lucky cuts him off again while rolling his eyes.."Uh got to go..bad
connection. Give the family my
love."
Nikolas:"Lucky? Lucky?"
Lucky hangs up the phone handing it back to Mac as he enters the bathroom.
He takes his bag and begins the transformation into Lucky Spencer."You
weren't kidding; he sounds pretty upset. He'll get over it though when he
sees what the irresponsible, good-for-nothing SOB brought back for him."
Mac smiles."I swear for a minute; I thought you were your father."
Lucky beams."Thanks man, but he would never be on a troubleshooting mission
for the Cassadines."
Mac nods."True, but I know he's really proud of you. You ready to get out of
here? Felicia has us booked to jet out of here in fifteen minutes."
Lucky grabs his passport and bag."Si, Senor."
The Outback
Gina sips her wine as Keesha finishes her lunch."I can't believe you ate all
of that?"
Keesha looks at her."What? I was hungry. So, tell me. How are you? If you
say fine I'll make you share desert with me."
Gina holds up her hands in protest."No please, not that. I'm okay I suppose.
Who am I kidding? I'm confused. I've done something stupid and made my life
even more confusing than it already was."
Keesha cocks an eyebrow."What? Come on-- tell or I swear, its creme brule
heading our way."
Gina whispers like a school girl."I slept with Lucky,"
Keesha chokes on her soda."Lucky? As in your ex- husband's brother, good
looking yes, but brother none the less. What were you thinking?"
Gina rolls her eyes."I was thinking that he looks fine, I'm lonely and I
want to be held. Thanks for the support."
Keesha takes her hand."Sorry, hey you know I'm behind you one hundred
percent, but Gina you're playing a dangerous game. Somebody is going to get
hurt. Do you even want to patch the marriage?"
Gina looks at her wearily."Which one?"
Keesha sighs."Oh girl, you've got it bad. You're carrying a torch for
Nikolas. I know that look in your eyes. It's screaming Nikolas-- Nikolas.
So, let me get your situation straight. You slept with Nikolas' brother for
comfort; you don't want to patch up your marriage with A.J. because you
still have a thing for Nikolas."
Gina claps dramatically."No wonder you're the cop. That about sums it up. I
care about Lucky though. He treats me well, and doesn't pressure me. A.J.
has just hurt me beyond repair, but Nikolas. Keesha, he's like a drug I
can't stay away from. No matter how angry I get at him, I love him just as
much as the first time I made love to him."
Keesha nods understandingly."Oh Gina. You have yourself in a mess. I don't
know what to tell you."
Gina looks up at her helplessly."Tell me everything is going to be okay."
Keesha watches Nikolas lead Katherine to a table and sighs."I can't, Gina.
Look behind you."
Gina turns and gasps."Let's go, Keesha. I can't deal with this today."
Nikolas holds Katherine's hand as Gina and Keesha slip past them unnoticed.
Nikolas:"I told Stefan."
Katherine looks at him incredulously."He was angry. Did you tell your family?"
Nikolas shakes his head."We had a little emergency come up. Everything is
fine now. I'm going to announce it at dinner tonight. I'd like for you to be
there."
Katherine sighs."Are you sure? Maybe if they heard it with just you they
could accept it easier."
Nikolas shakes his head."You're carrying my child. They'll accept it. I'll
see you at dinner right?"
Katherine nods and then pulls him in for a kiss. "Absolutely."
Kevin stands by the bathroom door in the light house."Luce, baby you've been
sick like this for days. You need a doctor."
Lucy moans as she emerges from the bathroom looking peaked."You win. It
comes and it goes, but I feel positively exhausted and it's early. Make me
an appointment for tomorrow."
Kevin leads her to the bedroom and eases her into bed."First thing in the
morning, Luce."
