GH2005.18 No one Leaves

Bensonhurst
Brenda holds her namesake and looks up at Ned and Lois."She is so
beautiful. I can't believe you named her after me."
Lois laughs."Aww Bren, of course we named her after you. We were starting to
run out of Br names anyway. No more worrying about that right, Baby?"
Ned smiles."Nope, there will be no more kids. We have Dylan and the girls. I
know we made the right decision."
Brenda laughs."I'm proud of you, Ned. When Lois said you were getting
snipped, I swore to her
not until you got yourself a son. Guess I was wrong."
Ned smiles."I'll admit, I wanted a son, but I wouldn't trade my girls for
anything in the world. Besides, I spend lots of quality time with Dylan."
Brenda asks."That's still working out? I mean-- Tracy hasn't reared her ugly
head?"
Lois makes the sign of the cross."No thank God. Don't even mention that
woman's name in this house. Ned gave her back control of her money, but not
the Q stock he brought that from her to keep for Dylan. Once she got the
money and the settlement she had from Gino dying; she was
set. I bet she and Carla are still fighting over Gino's money."
Ned laughs."Tony called and said congratulations on the baby."
Lois hits him."Tony called now you tell me that he called. Men, can't you
even give a phone message at the proper time? If I didn't love you I'd throw
you out on your keister."
Ned laughs and kisses her."He called when you were outside in the hug fest
with Brenda. I couldn't have broken that up if I tried."
Brenda laughs as Lois blushes."He got you, Lois. God, I miss you guys."
Lois tries to tactfully bring up the sore subject they'd been avoiding."You
haven't mentioned Jax. How is he?"
Brenda sighs."No one leaves, Lois. Remember when I was giddy over that
saying? Well, he was serious. He'll tell people we're still happily married
and to most I'm just some jet setting wife of a corporate raider. I've tried
for three years to get him to sign the divorce papers and it's always the
same excuse-- No one leaves."
Ned sighs."You need to talk to Alexis Hardy (realizing his mistake) um
scratch that. I heard Scott Baldwin is back in town. Talk to him. He's
grieving over the loss of his parents right now, but I'm sure in a couple of
weeks he could help you find a loop hole for your divorce."
Lois : "You haven't run into Alexis yet have you?"
Brenda's eyes flash angrily."Yeah, I saw the bitch. You know I thought I
hated Lily, but no one makes me as sick as Alexis. Even Miranda was better."
Ned:"I'm going to guess that the meeting didn't go well with you two."
Brenda shakes her head."I was there to see Mike, but in pops Alexis and bam
she starts with me. I hear Stone looks just like Sonny though."
Lois nods."He's beautiful. Has his father's eyes and every time I see him I
want to cry; it's like Sonny's back, you know?"
A tear slides down Brenda's face."I miss him, Lois. God, I miss him."
Ned exits quietly as Brenda begins to cry and Lois reaches out to her."It's
okay, Brenda."
Brenda cries softly."I look at Sonia and sometimes I can't help wish she was
Sonny's; you know? Then I'd have a piece of him with me. Instead I see Jax's
eyes staring back at me and I hear those words 'nobody leaves, Brender'. To
think people called me and Sonny obsessive."
Lois nods understanding."I thought I had lost Ned for good as well. Then he
came back. I know Sonny won't be back, but Bren you have to let him go. It's
not healthy to continue to grieve for so long."
Brenda nods as she dries her eyes."Part of me died with him, Lois. The best
part of me."
Sonni runs in and looks at her mother with concern."Why are you crying, Mommy?"
Brenda hugs her tightly."I'm okay, honey. Go back and play with the other kids."
Sonni nods and kisses her mother on the cheek before leaving.
Lois:"Children are what keeps us going, no matter how dark it appears to be
in our life."
Brenda nods."If I didn't have Sonni, I'd have died the day Sonny did."
Lois looks up at her with new concern."Bren, you're worrying me. You really
sound depressed. You might want to talk with someone; you know-- a
professional."
Brenda shakes it off."I'm fine, Lois. Don't worry about me."
Lois nods."Okay, so are you enjoying the PC Hotel? You should have just stayed
with us."
Brenda laughs."You barely have enough bathrooms as it is. Besides I'm visiting
aren't I? I want to spend some time in Port-Charles."
Lois smiles."Our door is always open."
Brenda smiles."I know. Now tell me everything about her birth."

Jason arrives at the bridge like Robin asked. He searches for her, but
instead finds candles lined up on the edge of the bridge. Balloons have been
weighted down to add some ambience and soft music is playing from a tape
recorder. He sees a bottle of chilled champaign and he calls out for
Robin."Robin? Robin, where are you?"
Robin emerges from the other end of the bridge and walks toward him. Her
hair is flowing around her shoulders and she looks like an angel in her blue
velvet dress as she approaches him."You're earlier than I expected."
Jason takes her face in his hands and kisses her passionately. He pulls away
and looks at her longingly."You take my breath away, Robin. What are all the
candles and balloons for?"
Robin smiles."To celebrate."
Jason looks at her curiously."Celebrate?"
Robin nods and takes his hand."I had a great meeting in Venezuela. In fact I
have wonderful news. It's going to shock you, but hear me out. Jason, I'm
cured. I no longer carry the AIDS Virus. The cure worked on me."
Jason tries to take in her information."Cured? When did you take a cure?"
Robin sighs."Don't be angry, I took it three years ago. I didn't tell you or
Uncle Mac, because I didn't want to get your hopes up. It worked though,
Jason. I'm going to live!"
The news sinks in and Jason picks her up and wheels her around."You're okay!
Oh My God, you're okay." He breaks down into sobs of relief as he holds onto
her for dear life."I'm not going to lose you. You're okay. It's over, and
you made it." He takes her face in his hands again"I told you that you would
make it. I love you more than life itself and you have made me happier now
than I can ever recall being."
Robin wipes the tears from his face and pulls away. She reaches into her
purse and pulls out a small jewelry box that contains her mother's wedding
ring. She falls to her knee and looks up at him."Jason Morgan, I love you so
much that it hurts. You have been here with me through the good and the bad.
We've seen tragedies and miracles and finally we have our own-- the miracle
of life. You and I can grow old together, 'we can have children and most of
all we can live. Jason, will you marry me?"
Jason falls to his knees beside her and takes the ring. He places it on her
finger and nods. "I'll be with you until God decides to take me away. I love
you, Robin Scorpio; you make me whole. No one will ever be able to touch our
love. I would marry you again and again just to prove to myself it's real.
You're my angel."
They rise and Jason pops open the champaign. He pours them two glasses and
they toast.
Jason:"To us and our future."
Robin:"To life and for all it has given us."
They drink their champagne; Jason pulls Robin to him as they dance to the
slow song on the radio. Their bodies press together as they passionately kiss.
Jason whispers to her."Tell me you brought a blanket."
Robin's eyes twinkle."By our tree."
Jason picks her up carrying her to the tree and setting her on the blanket.
He begins to kiss her eagerly as she unbuttons his shirt. Robin takes in his
masculine scent as she traces his chest with her eager fingers. He begins to
unbutton her dress; they start to make love. For once they don't use the
condom that has become such a regular part of their lives. Tonight they're
trying to create another miracle.
