GH2005 CHAPTER 11 FALLING INTO YOU
Scott approaches the table and smiles at Lucy."Hiya Luce."
Lucy rises from her chair and hugs him."Scott!" She pulls away and slaps him."Where in the hell have you been all this time? Where's Serena? Oh God, she's okay; isn't she? Are you okay? What are you doing back here after all these years? You forget what a phone was? I can't believe you're standing here..wipe that grin off your face. I'm mad as hell at you, buster. I've been worrying about you and Serena for years and now you're here. How? "
Scott smiles. "Same ol Luce. Serena is fine, in fact she's with Dad and Gail. I went by your place, and you weren't there. I was told I could find you here. How are you?"
Lucy:"How am I? You are gone all this time with only a few postcards, a couple of pictures and you ask me how I am? Wait, Serena is here? She's in Port-Charles. Oh My-- she's really truly here? I have to see her. You'll let me see her, right?"
Kevin interrupts. "Lucy."
Lucy, startled, turns to Kevin."Doc, oh my, I'm sorry-- how rude. Doc, this Is Scott Baldwin. Scott, this is my Doc. Kevin Collins."
The men shake hands. Kevin:"I've heard much about you."
Scott, still staring at Lucy."Can't say the same. Nice to meet you though. (turning to Laura) How are you, Laura? And who is this?"
Laura smiles politely."Hello Scott, it's been a long time. This is my husband, Stefan Cassadine. Stefan, this is Scott Baldwin."
The men shake hands. Scott turns back to Lucy."Any chance on my talking to you privately for a few minutes. It's been a long time."
Lucy looks at Kevin who nods politely. Lucy bends down and kisses Kev and whispers in his ear."This won't take to long."
She allows Scott to lead her to a table in the corner of the club. He pulls the chair out for her and then takes a seat."I've missed you, Luce. You look wonderful."
Lucy squirms nervously."I can't believe you. Scott, where on earth have you been all these years. Last thing I heard was you and Serena had gone to Europe to evade those people following you. Who were they? Are they gone now? How is Serena? Does she even know who I am? "
Scott takes her hands in his and smiles."Slow down a little. I know you have a thousand questions and I promise I'll answer them all. Serena is fine, Lucy; she can't wait to meet you. Of course she knows who you are. I wouldn't have her, if it wasn't for you. The people following us are gone. It has been taken care of. Once everything was safe, I came back. You know I'd never stay away for good. God, Luce I can't wait for you to see her. She has a spunk to her that reminds me of you. (he pulls out some pictures from his wallet) These were taken a few months ago."
Lucy looks at the pictures as the tears start to stream down her face."Oh Dom, (she looks up at Scott who has tears in his eyes) she looks like Dom, Scotty."
Scott nods."I know, there are times that I swear Dom is with me when I'm looking at her. She has that same look in her eyes when she is laughing or if she's concerned. You're going to love her Luce."
Luce wipes away the tears."I already do, Scott. I've always loved her; damn you, for not keeping in touch! You don't know the hell it has been on me:the anniversary of Dominque's death or Serena's birthday. I was worried
about you! Worried about you both! Why didn't you call?'
Scott sighs and looks into her eyes."Luce, I wanted to, but what would it have helped? I could talk to you, let you talk to Serena but still keep my distance? I couldn't do that, Lucy. I knew I had to stay away to keep us safe-- and to keep you safe. If I called, I knew I'd be right back here.
Everyone would have been in danger. I missed you Luce, more than you know. I never wanted to stay away so long, but I knew I'd be back. Here I am. Come on Luce, don't stay mad. Not after all this time. I was hoping you and I could..."
Lucy interrupts. "Could what, Scott? Could pick up where we left off? Where was that, exactly? I have my Doc and he loves me. I love him as well. Of course, I'm happy you're back, and I can't wait to see Serena. But don't be getting any idea's about us."
Scott smiles mischievously."Why are you so unsettled? I came here as an old friend. I wanted to let you know I was back and to bring you the daughter you gave me. I'm glad you're happy with your Doc. But I have to tell you, Luce; I see a fire in your eyes right now that wasn't there ten minutes ago.
He marry you yet?"
Lucy avoids his questioning eyes."We're married in every since of the word.
Kevin and I have been together for years. Scott, don't you dare try to trivialize my relationship with him after you come waltzing in here after years of nothing. I am happy and I'll have you know that this fire you see has always been here. So wipe that smug smile off your face, you aren't going to manipulate me this time. I'm wiser than I used to be. I don't play games anymore when it comes to my
heart. Besides, you were the one who wanted to be friends. You left me here nursing my feelings for you and now you're back and counseling me on my relationship?"
Scott laughs."You were never naive, Luce. Remember-- this is me. I know you, does your Doc really know you? I can already see a change in you. I've rattled your chain, and awaken a part of you that's been hidden for awhile.
Don't fight it, Luce. You and I could always be straight with each other.
I'm going to be straight with you now; I haven't forgot about the way we used to be. We had something special you and me, and no matter what you have right now, I'm willing to bet the farm you aren't as real with him as you ever were with me. Lot's of people have loved you Lucy, but has anyone ever loved you the way I do? Totally completely with no reservations. I like that fire Lucy, don't ever loose it."
Lucy looks at him angrily."You're presuming to know so much about me and my relationships! How dare you! I'm different, Scott. Years have passed since you've known me. You may be the same Scott, but I've grown as a person and I am confident in my love for Doc. Everyone has to grow up sometimes, Scott."
Scott smiles and takes her by the hand."Grown up or grown boring? You wouldn't be so flustered right now if everything was so perfect in your life. You've missed me as much as I've missed you. We're part of each other, Luce, nothing will change that. I can still see my Luce in there and she's fighting to be released. I'm going to see to it that she is. If your relationship with Doc is as strong as you say, then it will withstand my presence. I'm back, honey; I want my best friend back. You mean more to me
than anyone else. I won't lose you again. (A slow song begins playing and Scott extends his hand) Dance with me, Luce."
Lucy shakes her head."I need to get back to Kevin and our friends. Could I see Serena tomorrow?"
Scott nods his head."Want to meet me at the brownstone? I'm leasing it from Felicia."
Lucy nods."Felicia knows you're back?"
Scott smiles."I had to find a place to stay and I needed to find you. I'm looking forward to you meeting Serena. I'll see you tomorrow.(he rises and kisses her cheek) I never stopped thinking about you."
He walks away and Lucy sits for a moment with tears welling in her eyes."I never forgot you either, you big doofus."
Port-Charles Hotel Katherine's room.
Nikolas is lying on the bed waiting for Katherine when his cell phone rings. "Cassadine. She's staying here? Who walked in with her? I see. I'm glad he decided to escort her home. No, I will be here for the rest of the evening. Thank you."
Katherine comes out of the bathroom wearing a slinky blue nightgown. She begins to scold him playfully."You aren't checking up on another woman while entertaining me are you?"
Nikolas smiles."I was getting an update on a family member. You look ravishing and have my complete, undivided attention."
Katherine straddles him on the bed and begins to kiss him gently."Let me see those knuckles."She takes his hand and begins to kiss the bruises. "Always
so quick to defend a lady's honor. They broke the mold with you, Nikolas." Nikolas smiles up at her as she continues to kiss his hands."I was only assisting; it was Lucky who was controlling the situation."
Katherine begins to massage his chest."You and Lucky are certainly more civil to each other then you used to be. If I remember correctly, you hated each other at one time?"
Nikolas nods and begins to stroke her back."We still don't always see eye to eye, but we're brothers, we can't deny that. We both love Laura, Lu, and Staci. We share many people, including Emily and Gina. I'm like my Uncle and he's like Luke, but the difference is we both have some of the Webber genes. That allows us to coexist. Now, enough about my brother." Nikolas hands pulls down her night gown and he begins to make love to her.
Same hotel..a few door's down...
Gina has excused herself to the bathroom and turns on the stereo on her way. Lucky has removed his jacket and is nursing a brandy. Gina comes out draped in her bathrobe.
Gina:"I feel better now. So, what's this big news you have to share with me."
Lucky smiles."I checked into A.J.'s scandal. Nikolas may have been an ass and led you to walk in on it, but he didn't set A.J. up."
Gina sighs."You found this out how?"
Lucky grins."I entertained the ladies and asked some questions. They've never met the person who hired them. They leaked out some information. I'm guessing that's how Nikolas found out. Anyway, whoever hired them was pretty ticked when you busted up the party, but later recanted when it worked to his advantage. Someone knew about A.J.'s weakness and used it to their advantage. Nikolas got wind of it somehow and used it to his. I know this really doesn't help your pain, but I thought maybe it would give you a clearer picture."
Gina smiles and strokes his cheek."You always try to fix my problems. I love that about you. I'm tired of thinking about my ex- and current husbands. They always end up ruining my nights."
Lucky rises."I should let you get some sleep."
Gina pushes him back into the chair and kisses him. Pulling away she smiles."I want to go to bed Lucky, but not to sleep."
She rises from the chair and turns up the music. Celine Dion's 'Falling into You' begins to fill the room and Lucky walks over to her. She unbuttons his shirt as he looks at her curiously."Are you sure?"
She kisses his chest and then smiles at him."Shhh."
As the music fills the room, they begin to kiss. He removes her bathrobe, picking her up he carries her to the bed and lies her down gently.

The next morning Lucky gingerly slides out of bed and puts his clothes back on. He watches Gina sleep peacefully and takes in her beauty once more. He walks out of the room quietly. Just as he closes the door, he feels a hand grip his shoulder. He turns to face Nikolas' cold eyes staring back at him. Nikolas:"Morning, Lucky."
