Taggert- Tell me what do you think your buddy LukeSpencer will do when he finds out you tried to kill his kid?
Sonny- You're way off base Taggert. You see I waswith Luke at the time the kid was attacked. We were both at the club,with witnesses.
Taggert- I don't consider your old man and yourhired hand to be reliable witnesses.
Sonny- I don't care what you consider, now excuseme, I need to call my lawyer to report a case of harassment.
Sonny walks over to Mike and Jason-Have you heardfrom Luke yet?
Mike- He called this afternoon, everything is fine.He and Lucky should be back by tomorrow morning.
Sonny- Good, I got some news for him. Jason, I wanta couple more men guarding the kid.
Jason- Shouldn't you be worried about guardingyourself.
Sonny- Harry's dead remember? Besides you do enoughworrying for the both of us. Harry was bringing in the drugs, buthe's got a partner. It's possible the kid can I.D. the guy.
And if it occurred to me, it's gonna occur to them.So I want the extra guards, and make sure they blend in with thehospital personal.
Jason- Consider it done.
Nurse- Mr. Corinthos? We're ready for you now.
Mike- It's about time!

Carly is on the phone trying to get hold of Tony.She tried the hospital and he wasn't there, so now she is calling thebrownstone. No answer. Someone knocks at the door and Carly runs toopen it, hoping it is Tony.
Carly- Tony?
Bobbie- Afraid not. We need to talk.
Carly is stunned to see Bobbie standing there. Shestarts to close the door, but Bobbie stops her and comes inanyway.
Bobbie- We can't put this off any longer.
Carly- Why not? You've known for days now, you'vewaited this long, why not....
Bobbie- You know the reason, my step-son was nearlykilled. He's a fifteen year old boy, who needs me right now.
Carly gets angry- You were never there for me, wereyou? And he's not even your son.
Bobbie- Carly, what do you think your life wouldhave been like with me? When I got pregnant with you, my life was amess. I was too young and messed up to be a mother.
Carly- You were a prostitute!
Bobbie- Yes I was, I'm not proud of it, but I didwhat I had to. To survive. I knew that wasn't the kind of environmentto raise a child. I thought I was doing what was best for you. Youdeserved a good stable home. I don't think you realize how bad mylife was back then.
Carly- Well I didn't have a good stable home did I?My father left us.
Bobbie- And you were raised by Virginia Benson. Didyou know I met her? She seemed like a nice person. Was it so terribleliving with her?
Carly doesn't answer.
Bobbie- The only thing I can tell you is I did whatI thought was best for you at the time. Because I loved you andwanted you to have a better life than I had.
Carly- You managed to do pretty well foryourself.
Bobbie- Do you think that happened overnight? Wellit didn't. It took years of struggle for me to get my act together.What I made of my life came from a lot of hard work and no matterwhat I accomplish, I still have my past hanging over me. I didn'twant that for you.
Carly- You didn't want me at all.
Bobbie- I can't blame you for feeling that way. Butwhat about you Carly? You must really hate me. Do you really loveTony or was he just a way to punish me?
Carly- Yes, I hate you! I tried to get to know youand you pushed me away! But Tony was different. Nobody has ever beenthat nice to me. I love him.
Bobbie- I liked you remember? I went out of my wayto befriend you. But you didn't tell me who you were did you? I saw ayoung woman insinuating herself into my life, my family and gettingclose to my husband. Any woman would have felt threatened bythat.
Carly- I just wanted to get to know you.
Bobbie- Look, we have both made mistakes. I didn'tcome here to start an argument with you.
Carly- Then why did you come here?
Bobbie- I want us to start over.
Carly- Is that possible?

Luke walks past officer Wilcox and winks ather.
Luke- Hello darlin, remember me? I gotta talk toyour boss. I'll see myself in.
Luke opens the door without giving her a chance toanswer.
Mac- Luke, next time you do that, I'm going to letofficer Wilcox loose on you.
Luke- Mac, don't go making me promises you can'tkeep. Besides you know you were expecting me.
Mac- I suppose you want to hear the tape?
Luke- Well, now that you mention it. And are yousure Harry was involved?
Mac- I'll fill you in on Harry after you listen tothe kid's story.
Mac takes out a small tape recorder and pushes theplay button.
Gail- Why don't you start by telling us what youremember.
Nikolas-I just heard some....upsetting news. Idon't remember going to the catacombs. I was just there. I walkedinto one of the rooms and some people were already there. I think Ibarged in on them. They blew out the lantern and it was dark. I triedto .........
Nikolas starts to get upset.
I tried....to fight.... them......but....they....they....kept...
Gail- Take a deep breath Nikolas, you are safe now.No one is going to hurt you. .....
Luke listens intently to the tape, memorizing everyword. He hears the pain in Nikolas' voice and silently repeats thevow to make them sorry for hurting the kid.

Gail-Did they all speak Spanish?
Nikolas- No, just the short guy. The old one spokeEnglish. The younger one spoke in both Spanish and English. I thinkhe was the leader. That's all I remember of them.
Mac- I want to thank....
Mac turns off the recorder and looks at Luke.
Mac- Well what do you think?
Luke- Tell me about Harry.
Mac- What has Sonny told you?
Luke- He told me what Harry did to him and Brenda,and that he took part in attacking Nikolas.
Mac- A sliver of Nikolas' watch crystal was in acut on Harry's arm. He fits the description of the old guy. And Luke,there is one more thing. We haven't let this out yet. We are tryingto keep it from the press.
Luke- Well I ain't gonna tell.
Mac-Harry's body was mutilated last night.
Luke- Mutilated? How?
Mac- When Nikolas was brought in to the hospital,while he was in recovery. The police photographer took pictures ofhis injuries for evidence.
Luke- I know, I heard Stefin give his permission.So? What's this got to do with Harry's body being mutilated.
Mac- Nikolas' wounds were copied onto Harry's body.Not exactly, but close enough.
It's almost like someone was looking at the photoswhen they did it.
Luke- Do you think Stefan did it?
Mac- At this point, it's anybody's guess.

Tom and Laura take Lesley to the clinic to registerand be admitted as an out-patient.
Dr. Jon Navare welcomes them into his office. Whenhe sees Lesley, his face lights up.
He takes her hand and speaks warmly to her.
Dr. Navare- Lesley! I am so glad you have finallymade a breakthrough.
Lesley studies Dr. Navare's face - I know you.
Laura- How do you know my mother?
Dr. Navare- Lesley Mangard has been a patient herefor the past decade.
Tom- That's impossible! Lesley WEBBER has been heldhostage and drugged for the past decade.
Laura-What's going on here?
Dr. Navare- Lesley, would you like to visit yourold room? You have a few belongings there, that I'm sure you wouldlike to have.
Lesley-Yes, I would.
Dr. Navare leads the group to the room.
Dr. Navare- Lesley's nephew has contributedgenerously to this institution. Out of courtesy for him, we left theroom untouched when we got word of Lesley's death.
Laura- My mother doesn't have a nephew.
Dr. Navare- I don't really understand what is goingon here, but the man that has provided the funds for her care calledhimself her nephew. He certainly acted like he cared a great dealabout her.
Tom- In what way?
Dr. Navare- When he visited, he would spend hourstalking to her.
Lesley- Yes, I remember, He brushed my hair.
Dr. Navare opens the door for them. The room isbeautifully decorated and there are pictures of the Spencer family,as well as pictures of Nikolas.
Tom and Laura are stunned.

Nurse Gretna waited until Dr. Navare lead the groupdown the hall. Then she quickly dialed the overseas operator.
Nurse Gretna- Port Charles , New York. Yes that'sright.
She gives them the number and waits to beconnected.
Nurse Gretna-They have arrived. Yes....... what aremy instructions?

Luke goes to the hospital to check on Nikolas. Alanis standing at the nurse's station making notations in a patientschart.
Luke- Alan, how's the kid doing?
Alan- About the same, he had a slight fever thismorning, but nothing to worry about yet.
Luke- He still having those dreams?
Alan- Yes, he is, but he has been working with GailBaldwin. Maybe that will help.
Luke- Think I can see him?
Alan- Uh... Uh....Stefan restricted hisvisitors...
Luke- Well that ain't never stopped me. I'm notasking permission, I'm asking is he up to it.
Alan-Physically yes, emotionally? You would have toask Gail.
Luke studies the people milling around.
Luke- Thanks, I will. Is it just me, or is theretoo many orderlies and floor moppers around here for onehospital.
Alan smiles and looks around at all the men.- Wellbetween Sonny's men, Stefan's men and Mac's men, it is getting prettycrowded around here. I don't see how anyone can get anywhere nearthat boy.
Luke- That's the plan.
Alan- By the way, Lucky came over to see Emily thismorning.
Luke-Yeah, I think that's the real reason he wantedto come back.
Luke wonders off toward the ICU. He mentally countsthe number of men guarding Nikolas and guesses who they belong to.When he gets to unit three, Mac and Stefan are waiting outside theunit. The curtain is drawn.
Luke- What's going on?
Stefan looks irritated at Luke's presence, butanswers him anyway.
Stefan- Nikolas is having his bath.
Luke smiles- Well I hope he has a beautiful nurseto give it to him.
Stefan ignores the comment.
Mac- Why don't we all go get a cup of coffee anddiscuss security.
Stefan- I would be happy to discuss security withyou, but I fail to see why Spencer's presence is necessary.
Luke- Sorry, you ain't gettin rid of me,Cassadine.
Mac- Look, we all want the same thing, to keep thekid safe. The best way to do that is to work together, now let'sgo.
Mac leaves without waiting to see if they willfollow. After a moment, they both join him. The three are walkingdown the hall and pass a man pushing a laundry cart. They have tomove aside to allow him to pass. Luke glances in the cart and thethree continue to the cafeteria. But Luke's warning bells start to gooff and he stops and turns back to the man.
Luke- Wait a minute, something's not righthere.
Mac- What is it Luke?
Luke- The cloths in that laundry, it didn't lookright. It looked like someone took folded cloths and tossed them.
Stefan- My God, Nikolas!
The three go back after the man. When they see him,Mac calls after him.
Mac- Hey, you with the cart, stop.
When the man sees them he starts to run.
Mac-Stop that man!
The man reaches into the cart and pulls out a gunand fires.
One of the orderlies fall, he is Sonny's man. Macshoots at the man grazing him in the leg. The man tries to keeprunning and trips over a mob bucket and is quickly captured.
Luke jerks the man up and slams him against thewall. Mac and a couple of other officers pull Luke off him.
Mac- I know how you feel, but let us handle it.
Stefan looks at the man coldly and speaks to himwith death in his voice.
Stefan- You will regret the day you were everborn.
Mac- That goes for you too, Cassadine. OfficerCruz, you read him his rights in both English and Spanish. I don'twant any mistakes here. So follow the book to the letter.
Mac goes with the officers to take the man to gethis leg treated. Luke starts to follow but Mac stops him.
Mac- Sorry Luke, I can't let you do that.
Sonny's man, George is taken to surgery, while theprisoner is taken to examination room four to be treated. Dr. Dormancomes in to the examination room and begins treating the wound. Helooks at the man coldly.
Dr. Dorman- It's just a flesh wound, I'll give hima tetanus shot just to be sure.
Dorman prepares the syringe and the man looksnervous. Dr. Dorman smiles mischievously and gives him the shot. Macand the officers take him to the police station where he is processedand put into a cell.

Miranda is sitting in her apartment reading thenewspaper. She has been staring at the front page for half and hour,having read and reread it. Nikolas' story has been the main topic ofthe news since the attack. Miranda closes her eyes and remembers. Sheis on the island in Greece, about to leave it forever. She has beenescorted to the docks, in the middle of the night, by guards andStefan.
Isabella- Are they really necessary?
Stefan-They were mother's orders.
Isabella- I should have known.
Stefan- I have something for you, to help you startover.
He hands her an envelope.
Isabella- I don't want it. You can't buy off yourconscience Stefan.
Stefan- I have nothing to feel guilty about. Youbrought this on yourself. My duty is first and foremost toNikolas.
He puts the envelope in her bag, then he kisses hercheek. They are interrupted by the six year old running towards themwith tears in his eyes.
Stefan- Nikolas, you shouldn't be up at this timeof night!
Nikolas- Don't leave Isabella! Please don't leave!I'll be good.
He runs to her and throws his arms around her.
Nikolas- I'll be good, just don't leave me.Please.
Isabella kneels and wipes away his tears.
Isabella- I am not leaving because of you Nikolas,you already are a good boy. But I can't stay. Someday you willunderstand.
Nikolas- No, I will never understand.
Isabella- I wish I could explain it to you, but Ican't. I want you to remember that I will always love you.
Nikolas- No! You don't love me, you are just likeher! She left me, so did nanny, and now you are leaving me as well.You are all alike, you never loved me at all.
Nikolas throws himself into Stefan's arms
Nikolas- Promise you will never leave me, Uncle.Promise me.
A single tear runs down Stefan's cheek- I swear it,Nikolas, I will never leave you. I swear it.
Stefan gathers the child into his arms and with onelast look at his sister, he carries the boy back to the mainhouse.
Miranda puts down the paper. She decides it isfinally time to completely face her past.

Nikolas struggles against the restraints as hefights his attackers. He hears someone calling his name. They shakehim and he wakes up. Nikolas is momentarily confused as he usually isafter having the nightmares. He takes a deep breath to shake off thelingering uneasy feelings of the dream. He is surprised when he seeswho his visitor is.
Nikolas- Security must really be lax if they letyou in here. I guess the chance to see a Cassadine tied up was toomuch for you to pass up.
Lucky- I had to promise not to upset you, so I'mgoing to let that pass. I also had to promise to take those thingsoff as soon as you woke up. But keep it up and they stay on.
Nikolas- Promised who?
Lucky undoes the straps on the bands- Aunt Amy.
Nikolas- Thank you. (Nikolas rubs his wrist)
Lucky- Don't mention it. I mean that literally. Igot a reputation to uphold.
Nikolas smiles briefly at the joke- So why are youhere? Really.
Lucky looks uncomfortable- I thought you shouldknow how much Mom and Dad are worried about you.
Nikolas start to laugh, but stops because ithurts.- Yeah and snowballs flourish in hell.
Lucky- It's the truth, man. Mom calls everyday tocheck on you. And Dad is obsessed
with protecting you.
Nikolas- The only reason they are worried and wantto protect me is because I'm Lulu's genetic bank. They want toprotect her, not me. I won't fall for the lies again. If she loves meso much, why did she choose to go to Switzerland now of alltimes?
Lucky-Because of that stupid letter yourGrandmother left!
Nikolas looks confused- What letter?!
Lucky- I......I thought.....you knew. Oh man! I'mgoing to catch it for this one.
Nikolas- What letter are you talking about? Tellme!
Lucky- It's not my place.....
Nikolas- Lucky! Tell me!
Nikolas starts to cough.
Lucky- Okay, okay... Helena left a letter for thefolks, she wants you back.
Nikolas closes his eyes to calm himself- That's whyeveryone is acting so strange.
Lucky- You know, they got so many guards outside,you would think they were guarding something important to them. Maybeyou should think about that.
Nikolas- I already know my Uncle loves me.
Lucky-Come on, He lied to you. He's not even yourreal Uncle!
Nikolas gets angry- What the hell do you know aboutit? You don't know what it was like under Helena's rule! He saved mefrom her. And he has never left me, no one has lied to me more thanLaura. But let me ask you this, if you found out you were adopted,would you turn your back on Luke and Laura? I don't think......
Nikolas starts to cough and cannot stop. Heclutches his side.
Lucky- Okay, okay I'm sorry. Calm down. Should I goget a nurse?
Nikolas shakes his head no. After a few minutes thecoughing spell stops. Nikolas' eyes are watery and his face is red.He takes a few breaths and wills his body to relax.
Lucky decides it would be better to change thesubject.
Lucky- They caught two of them, you know.
Nikolas is getting tired but asks anyway- Two ofwho?
Lucky speaks softly- Two of the men who did this toyou. One of them is dead and the other is in jail. That should makeyou feel better, knowing that they can't hurt you anymore.
Nikolas- There were three of them, they stillhaven't caught the third one have they?
Lucky- Not yet, but they will.

Bobby is standing at the nurses station lookingover the nurses schedule, when Tony walks over to her.
Tony- Could we go somewhere to talk privately?
Bobbie- I don't think we should. Our lawyers willhandle it.
Tony- Do we really want to do that? Can't we workthis out ourselves.
Bobbie- That's funny, because I thought we were,until you filed for custody.
Tony-That was a mistake. Please, for Lucas's sake,let's go talk.
Bobbie- We could use the conference room.
Tony- Thank you.
They walk into the conference room and Tony closesthe door.
Tony - First I want to apologize for the way thewhole thing was handled.
Bobbie- You didn't even have the guts to tell meabout it.
Tony- I was afraid Stefan would take Lucas out ofthe country.
Bobbie-You really have a low opinion of him don'tyou?
Tony- Honestly? I do. I am afraid for my son'ssafety around that man.
Bobbie- Stefan would never hurt Lucas! God! You'vebeen spending too much time with my brother.
Tony- You have to admit, he attracts violence,first Katherine Bell, now Nikolas.
Bobbie- You mean first Laura right? He was supposedto have killed her, remember? We all know what a crock that was. Andhe had nothing to do with Katherine getting shot either! But how DAREyou insinuate he had anything to do with Nikolas getting hurt!
Bobbie gets up to leave.
Tony- I'm sorry, don't leave. I didn't mean toinsinuate he hurt Nikolas, I know he wouldn't do that. But withHelena on the loose, you can't say that Lucas isn't in somedanger.
Bobbie- It's not Stefan's fault about Helena. AndLucas is safe at Wyndemere. But Nikolas wasn't hurt when you firstfiled the suit was he?
Tony- No, he wasn't. Please understand. WhenKatherine was shot, I panicked. I was afraid for Lucas. But aftereverything has come out. I don't think it would be a good idea to putLucas through a custody battle.
Bobbie- You mean now that your chances of winninghas gone down.
Tony- You know me better than that.
Bobbie- I don't think I know you at all!
They are both silent for a few moments.
Tony- Does he know about Carly?
Bobbie- Yes. A school friend told him all aboutit.
Tony- You should have told him yourself.
Bobbie- Which part? That Carly was my daughter oryour girlfriend? And as you know, I was here at the hospital worryingabout Nikolas when the news broke. Lucas was already in school andhis friends just couldn't wait to explain it to him.
Tony- I'm just making this worse aren't I?
Bobbie- No, you are just being your usualjudgmental self. Did Carly tell you I went to see her?
Tony- No. I've been staying at the brownstone.
Bobbie- Oh. Does this mean it's over between you?No don't answer, it's none of my business.
Tony- It affects Lucas and that makes it yourbusiness. There is one more thing I'm not sure your aware of. Carly'spregnant.
Bobbie- What?

Stefan, Mac, Sonny and Luke are all standing infront of the nurses station. Mac is showing them the file on the manthey captured at the hospital. Mac shows them some pictures.
Mac- Here's the scar on his hand, it matches thedescription Nikolas gave. I'm going to show him this picture alongwith the mug shots. There's one of Harry in there too. We are goingto show him several mug shots for legal reasons. It will be a muchstronger case if the kid can pick him out.
Luke- Who is this slimepit?
Mac- His name is Frederick Consuelo. He's a knowndrug dealer out of Mexico.
Sonny- So the kid did walk in on a drug deal.
Mac- Looks that way. The question is who is thethird party?
Stefan- What is your American justice system goingto do about this man?
Mac- He will be charged with two accounts ofattempted murder, one of Nikolas and the other of George Mead.
Taggert joins them in time to hear Mac'scomments.
Taggert-Actually, he won't be charged withanything. Frederick Consuelo was found murdered in his cell an hourago.
Mac- How could that happen?
Taggert- Maybe Corinthos had somebody to do it.
Sonny- Go to hell.
Luke- Well I can't say I ain't happy about it.
Stefan- Much to my surprise, I find myself agreeingwith you.
Luke- Can't you just say ìme tooî.
Mac- Tell us what happened.
Taggert- It's the same as Harry, same pattern asthe kids. Obviously some kind of pay back.
Mac- I'm sure neither of you know anything aboutthis?
Luke- Sorry, wish we could take credit for it, butme, Sonny and good ole uncle Stefin where watching the kid all day.Maybe Helena has been flying around on her broomstick.
Stefan- A likely possibility. However I believe shehas retired the broomstick in favor of a stuffed viper.
Bobbie and Tony come to an agreement over Lucas andhead back to the nurses station. Meanwhile the elevator doors openand Miranda steps out. She is disappointed to see Stefan with so manypeople, especially Mac. But she is afraid if she waits, she will backout. She gathers her nerves and walks boldly up to Stefan.
Miranda- Do you know who I am?
Stefan is surprised by her question- You areMiranda Jameson, a friend of Katherine Bell's.
Mac- Miranda what is this all about?
Luke perks up, he just knows the woman is about togive him something to use against Stefan.
Miranda- Do you know about my past?
Stefan is intrigued now- I have heard some of it.You are Jasper Jacks ex-wife. He thought you were dead I believe.
Miranda- Yes, I was caught in an explosion, I'vehad several plastic surgeries since then.
Stefan- I am sorry for your troubles, but I fell tosee what that has to do with me.
Miranda takes a deep breath before continuing.
Miranda- You were right, you know, I underestimatedyou. I can't believe you defied Helena.
Realization finally hits Stefan. He is stunned fora moment. Then he gently brings a hand up and caresses her face.Tears threaten to spill down his face, but do not. Miranda is lesssuccessful.
Stefan- I tried to find you, to ask you to comeback to us.
Miranda smiles sadly- I thought it was Helena,trying to kill me.
Stefan- I thought as much. I gave up hope.
Stefan embraces her and holds her close to him. Hefinally loses his battle and the tears fall down his face. WhenBobbie and Tony arrive at the nurses station, Bobbie is surprised tosee her husband in the arms of another women. She tries to hide herfeelings.
Bobbie- Stefan?
Stefan releases Miranda and introduces her.
Stefan-Barbara, let me introduce you to my sister,Isabella.
Everyone speaks in unison.
Bobbie, Luke, Mac, Sonny- WHAT??
Mac- You're Stefan Cassadine's sister?
Miranda- Yes, it's a long story.
Luke- Well darlin, I got plenty of time. Tell usabout it.
Miranda looks at Stefan- I don't think so. But Iwould like to tell Nikolas. What do you think his reaction willbe?
Stefan-It is difficult to say. He felt betrayed byyou. He..
Miranda- He never mentioned my name again didhe?
Stefan - No, not after that night. I tried toexplain it to him later, but he refused to listen. He is older now,so he may be more apt to listen. I should prepare him first. He hashad too many surprises to deal with lately.

He already had his sons and had little usefor her. It was fortuitous that he went mad leaving me with the powerI deserved. As for the child, your weak blood began to show itself inher and I dismissed her.

Mac- He's right. We still need an official ID onthese guys from Nikolas. Tony, do you think he is up to answeringmore questions?
Tony- I am no longer Nikolas' physician, you wouldhave to ask Alan.
Amy- I'll page him for you.
While Amy pages Alan, Tom gets off the elevator. Henods to Luke and continues to his office. Luke's sees him and after afew minutes follows Tom. Alan comes walking down the corridor andstops at the nurses station.
Alan- Did someone page me?
Stefan- Commissioner Scorpio and Detective Taggertwould like to question Nikolas again. Is he up to it?
Alan- I should examine him first, he had a slightfever this morning. Nothing to worry about yet, but we're watchingit. But if you do see him today, I don't want anyone upsetting him ortiring him too much. Understood?
Mac-Understood. We're not here to upset him.
Alan- Amy would you come with me to Nikolas' roomplease? And bring his chart.
Amy (smiling)- Sure Alan.
Alan leads the group, except for Tony, to Nikolas'room. Everyone waits outside the ICU while Alan and Amy go to examineNikolas. When Alan walks into unit 3, he is surprised to find Luckysitting by the bed. Nikolas is asleep and does not have therestraints on. Lucky looks uncomfortable at being found in Nikolas'room. Alan smiles at Lucky.
Alan- How long has he been asleep?
Lucky- About ten minutes. I didn't have the heartto put those things back on him.
Alan- Well, no harm done. But I'm afraid you'llhave to leave while I examine him.
Lucky gets up to leave, and hesitates. He looks atAmy, then finally asks Alan.
Lucky-Not that I care, or anything, but he is goingto be alright isn't he?
Alan smiles slightly- I'm sure he'll be fine.
Lucky doesn't quiet succeed at hiding his relief.Alan starts to examine Nikolas as Lucky leaves. Amy makes notes onhis chart, as Alan dictates to her.
As Lucky walks out into the outer room he issurprised at all the people waiting there.
Lucky-I.....I.....was just......
Bobbie- It's alright Lucky, you don't have toexplain. How is he?
Lucky-Okay I guess. He seemed tired though. I thinkhe had another nightmare. Is Dad here?
Mac looks around- He was with us a moment ago.Where did he go?
Stefan- I believe that he is talking to Tom Hardy.Lucky, I hope you did not upset Nikolas.
Lucky looks guilty.
Bobbie- Did something happen?
Lucky- I didn't meant too. I thought he alreadyknew about Helena's letter, I'm sorry.
Stefan starts to say something, but Bobbie cuts himoff.
Bobbie- It's not your fault, you didn't know. Howdid he take it?
Lucky- I'm not sure. He was tired and coughing, sohe didn't really react much.
Miranda- Maybe this isn't the best time to tell himabout me?
Lucky- Tell him about you?
Miranda- It's a long story. But I think it shouldwait.
Stefan-Perhaps you are right.
Bobbie- I think it is about time you stoppedkeeping things from that boy. It only hurts him in the long run.
Mac- I hope you plan on telling me that storysometime soon.
Alan and Amy come out and Alan looks worried.
Stefan- How is he? What's wrong?
Alan- His fever is getting higher, still nothing toworry about yet, but we need to keep a watch on it. I'm increasingthe antibiotics, that should help. Also Amy I want another chestx-ray.
Mac- Can we see him?
Alan- I don't see why not, as long as you don'tstay too long. I've got rounds, but I will check on him againlater.
Stefan- Thank you Alan.
Lucky- I better go find Dad.
Bobbie- You did the right thing by seeing him.
Lucky merely nods and goes to find Luke.
Stefan, Mac and Taggert go in to see Nikolas. Heappears to be sleeping.
Stefan- Nikolas?
Nikolas looks at Stefan angrily- When were yougoing to tell me about the letter?
Stefan- Nikolas, you've been injured. I did notwant to upset you.
Nikolas- Will you ever learn that it is all thesecrets that upset me the most?
Nikolas starts to cough.
Stefan- Commissioner Scorpio has a few morequestions to ask you.
Nikolas- I already told you everything Iremember.
Mac- We think we got two of the suspects. We needfor you to identify them. Will you look at these pictures and tell uswhich ones did this to you?
Nikolas- I'll try.
Mac takes the mug shots from Taggert and lays themon Nikolas' tray. There are 10 in all.
Mac- Just take your time.
Nikolas glances over the photos and immediatelystops at Harry's. He taps it with his hand. That's the old guy. He'sthe one......He's the one that......had the knife.
Stefan puts his hand on Nikolas' shoulder.
Nikolas looks annoyed- I'm alright.
He continues looking at the other photos, hehesitates when he sees Frederick Consuelo, but he isn't sure. Thereis a second shot of him holding up his hand, so that the scar can beseen. This time Nikolas is sure.
Nikolas- That's the guy who spoke Spanish.
Taggert- Are you sure about these two?
Nikolas- Yes, that's them. Are they the ones youcaught?
Taggert-Yes, and they are both dead.
Nikolas quickly looks at Stefan.
Mac- This was just a formality. We had to be surewe had the right guys. Thank you for your cooperation, I know this isdifficult for you.
Nikolas looks irritated at Stefan, then answersMac- I'm not a child, you don't have to treat me like a baby.
Stefan- There is no excuse for rudeness,Nikolas.
Nikolas rolls his eyes and takes a breath toretort, but starts to cough instead.
Mac- Well,...I guess that's all for now. But againif you think of anything, let us know.

Bobbie and Miranda are watching the exchangethrough the window.
Bobbie- Looks like Nikolas is upset with Stefanagain.
Miranda- Again? I thought they were close.
Bobbie- They are, but these past few months havebeen difficult on them both. I'm sure they'll get past it.
Miranda nods and studies Bobbie.
Miranda- I'm sure they will. I hope you don't mindme asking, but why did you marry my brother?
Bobbie is taken back by the question.- Yourbrother. I almost forgot about that. I guess that makes ussisters-in-law.
Miranda- I guess it does, but that doesn't answermy question.
Bobbie laughs- I'm not really sure I know theanswer to that. But I don't regret it.
Miranda- I hope that is true. Take my advice, andthink about it. Ask yourself what
you want from this marriage and if you are gettingit.

Tom opens the door to his office and he and Lukewalk in.
Luke- How are things in Switzerland?
Tom- It was strange, walking into that room andseeing all those pictures. But Lesley acted like it was normal.
Luke- Lesley hasn't known what normal was for thelast decade. What did Laura say?
Tom- She was stunned. I'm not sure she knows whatto think about it.
Luke-Cassadine was one step ahead of us. He knewwhat hospital she was going to, it wouldn't be hard for him to setthe whole thing up.
Tom- I'm not sure. Dr. Navare is a well knownpsychiatrist. His reputation is amazing.
Luke- Something's not right there, I feel it. Ithink Laura should come home.
Tom- What about Helena?
Tom casually starts to look through a weeks worthof mail.
Luke- I haven't figured that out yet. She has anagenda, but what it is.....
Tom interrupts him - It's here, the paternity testresults. You want to open it?

Dr. Dorman sits in his office and nervously readsthe newspaper about the murdered suspect. There is a vaguedescription of the third suspect, but it could be anyone. He isstartled when there is a knock on his door and Rebecca Chase comesin.
Dorman- Rebecca.....I thought we agreed it would bea mistake for us to be seen together.
Rebecca- Relax, I brought you a patient file, but Iwant to see you tonight.
Dorman- That's not a good idea. Someone might seeus.
Rebecca-I don't see why we have to put our lives onhold, just because of that stupid law suit. I'm beginning to wish Ihad never testified for you.
Dorman (pretending to look hurt)- You don't meanthat do you?
Rebecca-No, it's just I need to be with you.
Dorman- maybe we can arrange to meet........
DR. DORMAN, TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM, STAT.
Dorman winces,- Guess not, looks like I'll be heretonight. But soon I promise. Now if you will excuse me, I'm needed inthe ER.
Rebecca- Soon. You better get going.
After Dorman leaves Rebecca picks up the phone anddials a number.
Rebecca- He fell for it..........Yes, he stillthinks it was his idea, what an ego!...............No, they don'tsuspect her at all.......... Don't worry, you'll have yourrevenge......What do you have in mind?

Tom holds the envelope out to Luke- Do you want toopen it?
Luke starts to reach for it, then changes hismind.- You better do it.
Tom opens it and reads the results. Luke getsanxious and snatches it away from him.
Tom-It's on the bottom there. ( pointing to theconclusion).
Luke- That bastard! Why in hell would he do it? Whywould he try to pass the kid off as mine?
Tom- It's pretty sick, even for Stefan Cassadine.It's hard to believe he would put Nikolas through all this.
Luke- Nothing is too low for the darklord. Andhell, the kid was probably in on it. What I can't believe is that Ilet myself get pulled into the Cassadine civil war. Let uncle Stefinprotect the little bastard. Me and Lucky are outta here.
Luke storms out of Tom's office and runs intoLucky.
Lucky- Dad, I was just coming to find you.
Luke- Same here, cowboy. We gotta talk.
Lucky- I know, I was just with Nikolas and....
Luke- I want you to stay away from that littlebastard. It's too dangerous.
Lucky- Dad? What are you saying? I thought youliked him now that he's your son.
Luke- That was a Cassadine trick, he ain'tmine.
Lucky-He's not your son? I don't get it. Momsaid....
Luke- She was wrong. Tom ran a paternity test andhe ain't mine.
Lucky- So... what.....We're back to hating himagain?
Luke-He's a Cassadine, Lucky. I don't trusthim.
Lucky- But, he's Mom's son.
Luke (who is getting angrier)- He's a CASSADINE.They can't be trusted.
I'm not going to let that vampire get away withthis. He went too far.
Luke can no longer contain his anger and goeslooking for Stefan Cassadine.

Stefan, Bobbie and Miranda are waiting outsideNikolas' ICU room.
Bobbie- You should talk to him when he wakes up. Hemay consider this good news.
Stefan-Barbara is right. He will probably be happyto see you. Surprised as well. But he needs to get some rest first.He was exhausted. He hasn't been sleeping well.
Miranda- I heard about the nightmares. I can relateto that. I had them myself after I woke up from the explosion.
Stefan- Isabella, exactly what happened to you?
Miranda- It doesn't matter, it's over now.
Bobbie- Is it hard for you to talk about?
Miranda- Not at all, I just don't see the point.But if it will get you two off my back, I will. I found a notetelling me Jax was trapped in the mine. I went to find him and hewasn't there. It was a trap.
Stefan- Does Mr. Jacks know this?
Miranda- No, and I don't want either of you tellinghim either. He already feels guilty enough. I don't want him to knowwhy I was looking for him.
Stefan- Perhaps he was the one who left you thenote?
Miranda- You are wrong about that. Jax loved mewith his heart and soul. When he found out I went to the mine hetried to get to me.
Luke walked angrily into the ICU waiting area andtook a swing at the astonished Stefan.
Stefan was caught off guard and fell into thewindow, breaking it and cutting his hand.
Luke- Did you think I was too stupid to run apaternity test?
Luke throws the results at them. And the papersland in the floor.
The undercover policemen quickly tried to restrainLuke. Who is so angry he fights them too. Three of them barely manageto hold him.
Bobbie runs to Stefan- For God's sake Luke, what isthe matter with you? Stop it! Your going to upset Nikolas!
Luke- Do you think I care if that Cassadine bastardgets upset? Hell, he's just as bad as the dark one here. Wake upBobbie, it was all an act, that backfired on them.
While Bobby is helping Stefan . Miranda makes afist and hits Luke's nose as hard as she can. Blood spewseverywhere.
Miranda- You call Nikolas a bastard one more timeand you will wake up with your testicles floating in a jelly jar. Iswear it!
Luke is momentarily stunned, both from her blow andher words. One of the policemen makes a phone call to report theincident. Lucky arrives just in time to her Miranda's threat.
Lucky- Dad, what's going on?
Detective Taggert enters- That's what I would liketo know as well. Officer Wells, would you like to fill me in?
Mr. Spencer went ballistic, came in an attacked Mr.Cassadine. Knocked him into the window there. When we tried torestrain him he resisted arrest. The lady here, gave us assistancewith that.
Taggert looked at Miranda surprised- You didthat?
Miranda- Yes.
Taggert- Well Spencer, looks like I'm going to haveto charge you with assaulting Mr. Cassadine and assaulting a policeofficer.
Nikolas can be heard fighting his restraints,Stefan goes to check on him. As Luke is being handcuffed Luckywatches his father.
Lucky- What should I do Dad?
Luke-Call Justus and Sonny. I want you to stay withSonny or Mike for a while, Cowboy.
Luke is lead away and Lucky goes to the door andwatches Stefan try to calm Nikolas. They are speaking Greek and hedoesn't understand them. Lucky is confused and torn between hisfather and his mother's son.
