Breaking Away Chapters 11 - 12

Chapter 11

Corinthos-Morgan Import/Export Warehouse.

Jason's office. There's a knock on the door. "Come on in." Jason waved them in without looking up.

"Hello Jason."

Hearing the familar voice, Jason clutches the pencil in his hand tightly enough to snap it in two. "Robin. What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you." Robin walked carefully into the office; much like a lion tamer into a cage. I couldn't stand the way we left things Jason."

"Robin. There's nothing left to say." Jason rubbed his head, it hurt just to look at her. She was beautiful dressed in a powder blue dress, and her hair falling just past her ears. She practically shimmered in the darkness and dankness of the warehouse. "I can't see you."

"Jason. It's not that easy. You can't just stop loving me because I did what I thought was right." Robin sat delicately in the chair across from him. "I heard that you got custody of Michael away from A.J. you must be relieved. Poor A.J though." Robin shook her head.

"Don't." Jason's voice was steely hard. "Don't say my son's name again. Not now, not ever. Robin, I'm not like you. I never was. I am never going to forget that you almost cost me my son. I am never going to forget that I can't trust you. And I am never going to forget that no matter what comes out of your mouth, no matter how much you say you love me you don't have a problem with kicking my teeth in to get back at Carly. Now get out. You aren't welcome in my life Robin. You're the one that closed the door when you WENT BEHIND MY BACK AND TRIED TO TAKE AWAY MY SON!" Jason pushed away from the desk, stormed to the door. "Johnny!" He motioned his guard and jerked his head toward Robin. "Get her out of here."

Johnny paused seeing that it was Robin.

Jason sensed his hesitation. "Either carry her out now or bury her body later." Jason spat. He'd never though that he could look at Robin and feel uncontrolled rage. But he knew that if she didn't get out of the room he would lose it. After Johnny had escorted her out of the office, Jason sank onto the couch and buried his head in his hands. He'd never felt out of control like that before. He'd managed to convince himself that the rage he felt towards her was fading until she waltzed back into his life.

He couldn't even find the part of him that loved her anymore. It was buried under too much anger.

"Hey Jase, Johnny tells me that Robin showed up here." Sonny stuck his head into the office. Seeing his friend slumped on the couch, Sonny entered the office, "What happened?"

"Why can't she stay gone Sonny? I was fine till she walked back in here and told me that I can't stay mad at her." Jason's blue eyes were troubled. "Why doesn't she get it? I don't trust her, I don't like her, I don't her and I don't want her in my life or around my son!"

"Jason. calm down. Robin's not in your life anymore. And I doubt she'll be staying. She'll be back on the first plane to Paris the first time she and Carly run into one another."

"Sonny, Carly will rip her into shreds and stomp on what's left." Jason sighed. "If you're still her friend you'll get her out of town."

"I'll deal with Robin." Sonny declared grimly. He would make her understand that she wasn't a part of Jason's life anymore. For Jason's sake, and for her own she had to leave him alone. "For right now, you've got to keep your head on straight. We've got a meeting with Luke on the docks in a few hours. Get the accounts he wanted cleared ready."

~*~*~*~

Laura's office.

She closed her eyes, propped her feet up on her desk and folded her hands over her stomach. The mid-day slump was hitting her hard today. As she drifted waiting patiently for a phone call from the parents of one of the children in the shelter she drifted between sleep and wakefulness. Then she felt something soft brush across her cheek.

By the time she fully awoke there was no one in her office except her, and one perfect pink rose with a card attached. She opened the heavy cream colored card to find only one initial. "S." She felt a delicious shiver run down her spine. As though there was ever any doubt. The two weeks he'd promised as up. Yet she'd purposefully held back, not wanting to rush into any relationship with anyone; especially one so frought with potential disaster as her and Stefan. The possibilities whirled through her mind during those brief moments when she wasn't focused on work, or her children.

But there was something on her mind. She needed to talk to Stefan about Nikolas. She wanted to know if her son was really alright, or just faking it for her benefit. Nikolas had inherited his father's abilty to keep all of his secrets hidden deep within his dark soulful eyes.

Lucky on the other hand was not as fortunate as his elder brother. All of Lucky's emotions and were on display on his face, and his heart on his sleeve. He was like the walking wounded. Nothing seemed to spark his interest, or curiousity. She knew he'd heard from Elizabeth, but didn't want to pry. So she waited for her sons to come to her. And with certainty she knew that they would.

~*~*~*~

That night on the docks.

"So, how do you think Moreno's gonna react?" Luke puffed on his cigar. He and Lucy had returned from Switzerland two weeks ago, and it was official. She was going to be a mother. And despite the doubts he'd had, her happiness overcame them. So now it was time to return to the business at hand.

"I think he's gonna retaliate." Sonny answers quietly. "So be ready for it. You too Jason. Put an extra guard on Michael."

"Already on it." Jason put on his gloves. "Look, I'm out of here to see Carly and Michael. I want to be the one to tell Carly that Robin's back in town. I'll see you both later."

Once Jason leaves Luke looks questioningly towards Sonny. "Robin?" When Sonny nods, Luke whistles. "And since when is it Carly and Michael? I thought it was always Michael and Carly?"

"What can I say Luke? The guy's nuts. He read me the riot act cause I don't give Carly the respect she deserves." He rolled his eyes in digust and threw up his hands. "Anyway, since you're in the middle of this, you'd better keep a close eye on the club."

"On it already." Luke looked at his watch. "I've got that meeting with someone from inside Moreno's company in ten minutes. You can't be here when it goes down man. This guy is already as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs."

"I still don't know how you did it Luke. How'd you get an informant?"

Luke flashed his teeth. "Ain't no thing Sonny. Now get outta here before you blow it." Watching the younger man walk away, Luke leaned against a lampost, clenched his cigar between his lips, and crossed his arms over his chest. He and Lucy were having lunch tomorrow with Lu. He made a mental note to bring the doughnuts. Maybe he could even talk Luce into getting Serena out of school for the afternoon. Really, what would the kid miss in 2nd grade? Nothing.

Hearing a small noise behind a wall of crates, Luke felt every nerve stand on end. Damn. He casually pushed off the lampost, and moved absolutely silently around the crates. As he got behind them, he noticed a woman with light brown hair creeping around the other side to peek out. She was dressed in snug black jeans, black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. She looked like a cat burglar. He tossed his cigar down, clamped a hand around her waist and one over her mouth so she couldn't scream. "Get an earful lady?" He growled.

~*~*~

Renee Carson gulped. Um. this wasn't quite the way this undercover reporting thing was supposed to go! Darn it all! Stuff like this NEVER happened to Brenda Starr or Lois Lane! She wriggled against him.

"I take my hand off your mouth, and you scream, I'll have my friends fit you with cement shoes." Luke warns gravely. "Got me?"

Renee nods. When he removes his hand she begins to lie through her teeth. "I'm sorry if I startled you, but see I was down here on the docks this afternoon, and I dropped an earring, it's really a family heirloom and I thought I would come back and look for it one more time before breaking my mother's heart and telling her I lost grandma's earring."

Luke spun her to face him. "Please, do go on. Tell me all about looking for an earring at this time of night, on the docks all alone. This is a story that demands to be told." He reached behind her and plucked a notepad from her hand. "Oh! I see! You've already written down the highlights. "Local crime lords Corinthos and Morgan met with Moreno on the docks. . . a fourth party was there. Looks familar, check local newspaper morgue." Luke made a tsk, tsk, noise. "I may be old, but I don't belong in a morgue."

"Give me back my notes."

"Come on." Luke dragged her from behind the crates. "Listen lady, I am so not in the mood to explain to you the benefits of keeping your mouth shut about this friendly little meeting and everything that you saw."

Renee spotted the figure in the shadows a split second before the gun was raised at Luke's back. She placed her hands on his chest and shoved him off the docks and into the still icy water. She felt a sharp burning sensation in her left shoulder and dropped to the dock. She waited until footsteps carried the shooters away, then she leaned over, and offered her good arm to then man shivering in the icy water. Using all her waning strength she caught a hold of his slippery fingers and tugged.

Luke emerged shaking from the cold, once he was on the dock, he glanced at where his guardian angel lay cursing and clutching her shoulder. "Don't just stare at me you dolt! Call an ambulance." She ordered before losing consciousness. Her last thought was "I don't get paid enough for this!"

Chapter 12

Lucy's house. Early in the morning. The ringing phone brought Lucy awake abruptly. She rolled onto her stomach and snagged her phone. "Yeah?"

"Luce? It's me. You'll never guess where I am. General Hospital. There was an incident last night. I bumped my head pretty hard and they won't let me out without someone to take charge of me."

"What KIND of incident?"

"Just come and get me okay?"

"Twenty minutes tops." Lucy replied hanging up the phone.

~*~*~*~

General Hospital.

Luke sat outside her room. He hadn't been able to get a good look at the young woman before, but in those moments when she'd lain bleeding in his arms, he took in every detail of her face. She'd saved his life. He couldn't help but feel responsible for her. Stretching he rose to his feet and walked down the hall, needing more coffee.

"LUKE!" Lucy stepped off the elevator and hurried towards him. "What are you doing here?"

"I just like hanging out in hospitals. I ever tell you about the fantasy with the adjustable bed, rubber gloves and an I.V?" Luke smoothed back a stray lock of her hair. "So what are you doin' here?"

"Ms. Coe?" Dr. Valerie North approached them. "I'm glad you came. Ms. Carson is going to be fine, but I still need you to sign some papers."

Poking Luke in the chest, Lucy muttered. "Don't you go ANYWHERE mister. . . .we've got a long talk coming!" She followed Dr. North. "So Renee's gonna be okay?"

"She'll need some physical therapy, and she'll have limited movement with her left arm for a while. But she'll make a full recovery."

"Her left arm? She told me that it was a bump on the head! What happened to her?"

Dr. North frowned. "Ms. Carson was shot. We removed a bullet from her left shoulder. She did also have a minor bump on the head, but that was from fainting after the bullet wound."

Lucy's temper flared. "Well, thank you for saving her. Now I can kill her!"

"Please don't do that. She's got some of my best stitching in her." Dr. North smiled. "Although I would reccomend that she stop playing with bullets."

"Oh, I'll reccomend it to her allright!" Lucy vowed. "Where's she at?"

~*~*~

"Lucy?" Renee opened her eyes groggily. "Hey cuz." She was catching a quick nap before Lucy came for her.

"Don't you "hey cuz" me Tamara Renee Carson!" Lucy snapped, gently fussing with her cousin's covers. "It's bad enough you're in town and instead of having dinner with you, I get a phone call that you're in the hospital, get here and find out you've been SHOT!"

"Sorry." Renee mumbled, "Thirsty."

"Here." Lucy lifted the cup of water and straw to Renee's mouth. "Darn it all! You know there's a wonderful invention now a days. I like to call it the telephone. It would NOT hurt you to call in once in a while. I've got Colton and Decker, and Chase and Mark and Brad ALL calling in at least once a month. But do you? No!"

"Don't you mother me Lucille." Renee shoots back. "You're not the boss of me."

"Well someone needs to be, you're doing a lousy job of it." Lucy snapped, as they fall back into the pattern of their youth. She and Renee had been the only girls in an all boy household, despite Lucy's inital shyness, Renee had broken through the shell surrounding her cousin, and they'd bonded like sisters. Renee was pragmatic where Lucy had flights of fancy. Lucy dreamed up the things to do, and Renee would make them happen. Between the two of them, the boys had trembled in fear. They would rather have been caught by Charlene, then by the two girls. "You do realize that you're gonna stay with me don't you?" Lucy informs her.

"Uh uh! No way! Get me to a hotel!"

"Nope. Can't drive that ugly little car of yours with one arm, and you can't push back, so you're stuck. So nanner nanner nanner." Lucy replied. She picked up Renee's jacket, notepad, and purse. "Dr. North says that I can take you."

"Did she give you a prescription for those LOVELY painkillers?" Renee struggled to sit up.

"Nope." Lucy answered evilly. "If you're stupid enough to get in the middle of a gun fight,. then you don't deserve painkillers." She stepped aside as the orderly wheeled in a chair and watched as he helped Renee into it. "So, what was it this time? Colombian drug cartel? Child pornographers?" Lucy shuddered in revulsion. "Congressmen?" She followed the orderly out of the room. "Who did you tick off this time? I mean usually people get to know you before you drive them to violence!"

"That is so like you! This is NOT my fault! I was innocently minding my own business." Renee ignores the unlady like snort from Lucy. "And some guy on the docks grabbed me like a maniac and accused me of spying on him. Next thing I know someone's aiming for him, I push HIM, and get shot myself!" She batted her long eyelashes at the orderly. "Now does that sound like it's at all my fault? Hey," She read his name tag. "Vince, you got a cigarette?"

"No Vince does not have a cigarette." Lucy snapped as the orderly reached into his shirt pocket for a pack. "And yes it's still your fault. First rule of life cuz. When bullets start flying. . . . .DUCK!"

"Duck? How is Siggy?" Renee changed the subject as they reached the Nurse's Station. "I brought him a nice loaf of sourdough all the way from San Fransisco." She motioned Dr. North over. "Hey Doc, this sadist here says I can't have painkillers because I was stupid enough to get shot. I think you should give the prescription to ME instead."

Dr. North chuckled. "Actually Ms. Carson, I tend to agree with your cousin. Gun shot wounds are not usually a mark of intelligence. But in this case I will make an exception." She handed Renee a piece of paper. "Two of these when the pain gets bad. And take as much ibueprophin as needed. You'll need to make an appointment with a physical therapist but I don't think signifcant damage was done to your shoulder." Spotting her husband Nolan, Dr. North waved. "I'll leave you to your cousin's tender mercies. Come back in a week and I'll take another look."

When Dr. North moved away, Renee lifted her finger and pointed. "That's the guy! He's the one that got me shot! If you're gonna lecture me Lucy you'd better have a few words on gun control with Mr. Big!"

Lucy gasped. "Luke!"

Luke slapped his forehead. "D'oh!"

Emily finished her lunch and gaped at Lucky. "You're kidding me! She came on to his father? Ewww!! Well that explains why Nikolas is in such a funk. But you don't think he really had feelings for her do you?"

Lucky poured himself another cup of coffee. "I don't know. You know Nik doesn't talk about that stuff. I think he at least thought he could trust her."

"Again, I say "ewwww"." Emily made a face. "Nikolas is one of the smartest people I know. How could he think she was anything more than a nasty, weird little woman?" Emily asked disdainfully.

Lucky laughed. "So you're not her biggst fan?"

"Um. . NO." Emily looked at her watch. "I've got to jet I'm starting my volunteer job at the Clinic."

"Now? Don't you have a Calculus II test in a few hours?" It was the middle of the school day.

"I told Dad that I'd come by the clinic. I've got lunch, study hall, and I'm excused from gym." Emily answered gathering up her books and jacket. "Wish me luck."

"Good luck Florence Nightengale." Lucky smiled. "See ya in class."

As Emily left Kelly's she seethed. How could Katherine hurt Nikolas like that? Didn't she know how lucky she was to have someone as good and kind as Nikolas in her life? What a witch! But she forced herself to put aside all thoughts of Nikolas and Katherine as she approached the clinic. They didn't matter now.

~*~*~*~

The docks. Laura sat with her lunch and some files spread on the bench around her. There were times when she needed to get out of the office and stretch. She never knew how much beureucratic paper pushing her job would entail, but it was more than worth it.

"Hello Laura. Waiting for the fastest shuttle to Fantasy Island?" Katherine sniped. "I'm suprised your goodness and holiness can't part the waters."

Laura held her tongue and repeated her mantra mentally. "Nikolas is a grown man. He can fight his own battles." When that failed, she shot back. "If I thought I would mean getting my son away from you, I think I could!"

"Nikolas LIKES where he is Laura. With me." Katherine declared smugly.

As Emily rounded the corner she heard Katherine's words like a red flag. She approached Laura. "How are you Mrs. Spencer?"

"Hello Emily." Laura smiled. She remembered when Emily was little more than a child. She's certainly grown into a sweet young woman and appreciated her friendships with both Nikolas and Lucky. "What brings you down here?" Laura asked curiously.

"I've got a few free periods. I'm helping my father out at the clinic." Emily replied moving to block Katherine from the conversation, knowing that the only thing that irritated Katherine was being ignored.

"Really? I'm right down the street working at the shelter." Laura smiled. "We should have lunch together."

"That would be great."

"Oh wouldn't it?" Katherine joined in, her tone saccarine. "Laura the wonderful, spreading love and good cheer."

"Well Katherine, spreading good cheer is better than what you spread." Emily replied sweetly. "Speaking of my father's clinic, I think he mentioned something about a two for one special on penicilin."

"Now Emily. I thought that the little incident at your birthday party was forgotten?" Katherine smiled smugly. "And really, Nikolas and I did you a favor. Now you know how to knock."

As Stefan stepped off the launch he took in the tense scene. Katherine, Laura, and Miss Quartermaine. Katherine dripped vitriol as Laura seethed, and the youngest lady fairly bristled. "Hello Laura, Miss Quartermaine, a pleasure to see you."

"Stefan. Just the person I was coming to see!" Katherine grinned. "But as usual Laura was here first."

"Katherine, be gone." Stefan waved his hand imperiously. "I am sure that there are small children to frighten, candy to snatch from babies, and plots to hatch."

Emily smiled. "And don't forget to kick some puppies." She added. "Especially the ones that froth at the mouth!"

"You are a jealous, angry, ignorant child." Katherine spat. "You are too immature to have any kind of relationship with Nikolas yourself so you begrudge me mine. Some day you will grow up and understand what a meaningful love affair is." She continued cruelly. "The truth is Emily, the only reason that you hate me is that I have everything that you do not. Style, grace, manners, sophistication, and good looks. While you on the other hand are classless, completely without poise, cute, but only in a childish way, unworldly and on the whole utterly forgettable."

Emily flushed to the roots of her hair and bit her lip.

"You are a pig Katherine." Laura leapt to her feet. "Berating young girls? If that's your idea of class. . . . "

"Emily spews her venom at anyone that even looks at her adored Nikolas." Katherine justified. "I was merely helping her realize her place in Nikolas' life." She clarified. "Emily's position is that of a potential stalker, and nothing more."

Emily nodded. "She right Mrs. Spencer. I am forgettable, and I really should do something about that." In an instant Emily dropped her things, whipped out a hand and shoved Katherine over the railing and into the icy water of the harbor. She waited to make sure that Katherine surfaced. "Sorry about that." She apologized to a completely stunned Stefan. She gestured to the watermarks on his expensive jacket. "Please send me the bill." She gathered her things and with a great deal of dignity strode away.

Katherine emerged from the frigid water shaking and cursing violently. "Little brat! I'll file assualt charges."

"Against whom?" Stefan asked as he offered her his silk handkerchief.

"That - - -that GIRL! Emily!"Katherine snatched the square of silk and mopped at her face.

"But why Katherine?" Laura snickered.

"She shoved me off the dock! You saw her!

"I saw no such thing Katherine." Stefan corrected. "What I saw was a mentally unbalanced woman who tried to fling herself over the railing."

"You too?" Laura cocked her eyebrow at Stefan. Then she approached Katherine. "Be grateful that Emily only pushed you off the dock. If it were me I would have pushed you off there." Her finger pointed to the parapet on Spoon Island, just barely visable. "Leave my son alone."Katherine stormed off leaving Stefan and Laura behind. "That woman is a menace!"

The corners of Stefan's mouth twitched slightly. "True. Though I suspect that Katherine will be wise enough to pick her battles more carefully in the future." He seated himself on the wooden bench next to Laura's things. "She will know enough not to push either you or Miss Quartermaine too far."

Laura laughed. "Emily was pretty impressive wasn't she?"

"I confess I never approved of Nikolas' association with a Quartermaine. I may have been mistaken. I believe that their friendship is mutually beneficial." He mused. "I came to extend an offer of dinner this evening, unless you have other plans?"

"Actually I do. LuLu and I have been invited to a party at our neighbor's." Laura answered. "But what about lunch tomorrow?"

"Very well then. What time shall I pick you up from your office?"

"How about if I meet you at the hospital? Tomorrow is my day off. So whatever time will be convenient for you."

Stefan struggled with the urge to name an outrageously early hour so that he would be able to see her sooner. "One o'clock?"

"Perfect." Laura began to gather her things. "Thank you for the rose. It was beautiful." She smiled.

"You are most welcome Laura." Stefan caught her hand and placed a light kiss on the knuckles. "I will take my leave of you until tomorrow then." He rose, and made an elegant bow before striding away.

As she lifted a stack of files she found a book of poetry. Shakespeare's Sonnets that had not been there before. Stefan. No man alive was better at sleight of hand than him. She would have to be very cautious.

The Brownstone.

Carly's papers were sprawled out all over Bobbie's living room as she made calls and coordinated. Nothing to get the blood flowing like a coorporate Gold Card. She could almost hear the money winging its way around town. It was almost enough to distract her from Jason's visit last night. Robin was in town. And damn him he cared! She was starting to think that Jason might be an apple short of a tree.

Her first reaction was to panic. Then she remembered that there was nothing that Robin, or any other person alive could do to hurt her or take away her child. If Robin wanted to be in town, that was fine with Carly. But if she were stupid enough to try and weasel her way into Michael's life again, Carly could, and would squash her like a little bug. If Jason wanted her, he could have her. Any man stupid enough to choose Robin over her deserved what they got.

The ring of the doorbell brought her to the front of the house wearing her shorts, T-shirt, and socks. It was probably a delivery man with more sample books. She couldn't help it. She was addicted. The more the better. Opening the door, Carly's smile drooped. "Sonny."

"Hey Caroline." Sonny stripped off his gloves and walked right in without waiting for an invitation. "How ya' doing?"

Carly hung out the front door looking around intently. "Good. But I don't SEE any pigs flying, so why do you want to know?"

Sonny cleared off a corner of the couch and sat down. "I know that Jason told you that Robin was back in town."

"Yeah? So what?" Carly fumed, and made a mental note to get Bobbie to install chains on the door.

"I told Jason *I* would talk to Robin and convince her it's better to go back to Paris."

Carly leaned against the door and crossed her arms under her breasts. "Sonny! I never knew you cared!"

"I don't. Not about you anyway. I'm doing it because I know how much this hurts Jason. And having the only woman he loves and can't have in the same town would be rough on him." Sonny went on. "All I need you to do is to stay out of the way. Don't go antagonizing Robin, since you always push her buttons. Let me deal with her and you can go back to whatever in the Hell it is you like."

"Me? Go looking for Robin? It wouldn't be that hard. I'd just look for the halo, and 6' wing span." Carly glowered. "I don't need you to tell me how to run my life. I don't give a flying. . ." She stopped herself. "I don't give a damn where Robin is. Whether she's in the sewers in Paris, or in Jason's bed. But if she opens her mouth to me about my son I'll shove my fist down it."

"What would she have left to say Carly? Is the kid really Edward's?" Sonny spit out.

"You're a filthy little man with a filthy little mind." Carly retorted. "I realize that it's hard to see Robin for th manipulative bitch that she is, but just once try and look at it from MY point of view. She tried to have my child taken away. She's lazy, and two faced, and mean spirited."

Sonny exploded. "Robin made the wrong choice. That's all! How dare you, the Queen Mother of all lying whores call Robin two faced and mean spirited? She's had an impossible life. And worked hard to have a chance."

Carly warmed to the fight. This was it. The last argument she would EVER have with Sonny Corinthos. "Pretty damned easy! She's a hypocrite. She cried to Jason, "I love you," and tried to take away his son! Is that love? It's what people do in geurilla warfare! She couldn't have Jason, so she made sure Jason couldn't have Michael and I couldn't have Jason. She slashed and burned everything behind her and flew off to Paris! And let's talk about how hard she's "worked" in her life. Everything was handed to her. She wouldn't know real work if it bit her on the ass! And before you say anything about ME being lazy, at least I've DONE hard work before. I've done plenty of crappy jobs in my day! Why do you think I hate work so much? Cause I know what it's like! As for her impossible life, why is it so impossible? Because people she loved died? People die every day Sonny. I would think that you would get that by now! People die, that doesn't make the ones left living any stronger!"

"Pretty tough talk from someone that's healthy." Sonny shouted. "You're pretty tough picking on a sick girl."

"Please! I don't get this Sonny! Tell me why being H.I.V positive means that Robin's a saint? She's got a diease. That doesn't make her any better or worse than anyone else! You don't get heroic when you get H.I.V, you get sick. Besides what she did had nothing to do with H.I.V. It had to do with the fact that she got pissed off. Jason made a choice that his SON came before her, and she got mad at me for making Jason choose. Well you know what? I don't regret it. Not one minute! I had a right to know where my son and I rate in Jason's life." She sneered. "Not that I'd expect you to understand. You don't have kids, or a wife, or even a dog to care about."

"Care about? The only thing you care about is whose back door you're gonna be scratching at tomorrow night. ason should have let them neuter you after you had Michael. At least then the men of Port Charles would be safe from another round of "Who's your daddy?"

"Oh, you wanna go there Sonny? Fine! A better question is who's gonna save the women of Port Charles? From what I hear your wives and lovers have a shorter shelf life than spinach!" Carly took a deep breath. "But back to that flat chested, short, sanctimonious, whining, hypocritical, lying, manipulative, Girl Scout! I may have screwed up big time buddy, but you know what? I never did it out of hate! I wanted my son. And I wanted him to have the best father and the best life imaginable. And you know damn well that was Jason! Robin got mad at me and almost ruined not only MY life, but Jason's and Michael's as well! And another thing, I don't need the big bad Sonny Corinthos to fight my battles for me. Robin's spineless but I'm not. When I have something to say to her, I'll say it myself. I don't need a messanger boy. Now get the hell out of my house before I call Taggert." She held open the front door for him. "And if you ever come into my home without a written invitation from ME I will blow your balls off! If you don't think I can you need to talk to Tony again!" As he stormed past her she fired another shot. "Not that I think I could hit such a SMALL target anyway!"

Sonny whirls, having had more than enough of her big mouth, to find that the door was already shut, and locked behind him.
